  1. Hi Glad your move went well! Ok I can answers some questions. I see Dr. Dock he is wonderful. On vac for a week. I go about every 4 to 6 weeks. I live in West Chester so the support group I do not know that much about. The flurscope I do not know if they have or not. We been going to WPF hospital for around 6 years. I think that tri care makes you go to the base for the band but I am not sure. Alison can help you X9524. Let me know if there is any other question I can help you with.
  2. Wow !!! That is great. We were band the same week and I am not doing as well as you. I have lost 53 pounds. What do you eat? Right now I can not stop eating sugary foods. My band is good I can not eat that much at one meal. Your insight would be helpful Thanks and congrads!!!
  3. Hi I was banded by Dr Dock at the base he is wonderful. The whole staff is great. sometimes you have to wait for an appt but its worth it. Hope your move went well.
  4. Hi I had a hard time telling people about having the lap band because I NEVER about my weight. It took me over two years to make my mind up. I am as tall as you but heavier. I was banded in Jan 09 and so far its working good. I have lost 40 pounds and happier. You can tell all your family that this is harder then any diet but the best thing for you. Best of Luck and let us know how you are doing.Hot Mama Remember that the first couple weeks the wieght loss is slow
  5. Just be careful If it was me I think I would wait a little bit to make sure the flu is under control. Please check that if something happens that your insurance will cover it. Good luck in whatever you chose.
  6. Good luck just remember it will all be worth it in the end. Bring a pillow for the way home in car it sure did help over the smallest bumps.
  7. Hey I was upset also I was banded 1/15/09 I had lost 15 pounds on the liquid and then went on soft food and gained 7 back I was so upset I did not know what to do, so with alot of soul searching I figured out only to weight my self once a week. That has helped and I had my first fill in march and I have started losing again I am down 33 pounds and waiting to get my second fill the 13 of April so I hope I will lose more. You are a winner!!!!!!
  8. Kim I was also banded at the base. You need to ask many question and research everything for yourself. I think the doctors at the base are wonderful. I would have to say the only bad thing is that they change appt. after i had made it. I hope that the band works for you.
  9. Hi Ladies, I too was banded at WPAFB on 1/15/09. I live in west chester not far from all you,
  10. Hi Make sure that you ask many question. You have to make sure you are ready for the life changes that come with the lap band. With all that said I was banded 1/15/09 and it has been that best choice I ever made!!! Good luck with your choice.
  11. Your doing Great:thumbup: That is 45 pounds you will never see again!! You did not put the wieght on over night so it will not come off over night. And just think when your stresser is over that another 150 or so pounds gone Ha HA Keep your chin up
  12. I know how you feel! I am going though the samething thing. I feel its not fair, we make the choice to go under the knife change the way we eat and our body holds on to the fat. But I just keep reading some of the post and we know it works. Keep your chin up soon the weight will be gone forever:thumbup:
  13. I was banded on Jan 15 and have only lost 7 pound . I eat a thrid of what I did before and I am losing stream fast. I can eat anything I want all day if I wanted to.
