3sonsitk got a reaction from Krimsonbutterflies in February 2020 Post-Op Thread
Checking in on everyone's progress. I definitely am depressed more now than ever. Thinking what have I done. I know it's part of the process but it sure does suck. Can't wait till I can at least have soft foods.

SW 243 CW 198 GW ?
How’s my February peeps doing? My weight loss has been decent. I seem to stall every 3 to 4 weeks but I tell myself that my body is readjusting. I weight once a week and finally hit onederland. I found that increasing my Water intake helps speed up weight loss.

You may be going through the 3 week stall as most of us have.

I knew it was a stall once I saw the numbers go up and down by 1 pound. The best way to get through it is to keep doing what you do and stay off the scale. I now weigh myself once week.
@lisafrommass I plan on making the ricotta bake as well. Good idea to add spinach.

I believe I did as well. I lost 10 pounds right after surgery then the scale stopped for about a week. Weighed this morning and I'm down 5 more pounds. I'm trying to get a handle on Constipation. My Dr has me on full liquids for another week.

My sleeve was complete on the 27th, released 2 days later due to severe spasms when drinking. My surgeon did not want to release me from fear of dehydration. I'm finally home now, today is my last day of Clear Liquids. Full liquids during next 16 days then progress to soft foods. I still struggle to get in 96 ounces of liquids. The surgeon repaired a hernia that he said would've been bad if not repaired.
Blended vegetable Soup is on my list of full liquids. Does anyone have any blended soup recipes? I don’t have a blender but willing to purchase one. Also, please share what has gotten you through this stage. I'm not hungry per se but I'm ready for the change in foods.

3sonsitk got a reaction from ms.sss in First Consult GREAT.. Insurance Changed DISAPPOINTED
So yesterday was my first initial consult with the surgeon, Dr. Amit Taggar with Florida Surgical Weight Loss Center. I'm currently 5'5, 256 with high cholesterol. I am so ready to have this surgery so that I can stop the medication train before it gets too outta hand. I was planning on a late January to early February surgery due to Aetna only required 3 months with a Nutritionist. Boy was I in for a surprise. My surgeon informed me that Aetna now requires 6 months supervised visits with the Nutritionist and that the plan changed this month. WTH?!!?!
Oh well.. I can see this is going to be the longest 6 months of my life. During this time, I will focus on losing weight and exchanging bad eating habits for good ones. Thanks for reading

Yup. Double check with your Dr.'s office. The surgeon stated he had received more than normal denials and it was due to the policy changing this month. He said 60 % of his patients have Aetna. He also said he could possibly use 3 months of weight loss visits from my PCP because I saw them for weight management prior to deciding on the sleeve. I have to bring him the medical records for him to review on my next visit.
