  1. I had my surgery July 31 2019. Your son is just precious! How is it going?

  3. Ugh, the food addict in me doesn't like to hear the truth - You're right, I need to go by the book for the best results. It's just not easy for me obviously or I wouldn't be in this predicament in the first place. It's hard to face that my relationship with food must change. Thanks.

  5. Thanks for the info - you are a great inspiration with what you've accomplished

  7. Hi, I'm a long way off from eating solid foods but I am curious about the bariatric websites pre packaged foods, high protein snacks and desserts and breads/bagels. Have any of you tried them and is it even possible at some point to eat a bagel or a pre packaged meal after gastric bypass?
  8. Hi everyone, I am 2 weeks out from surgery and got the ok to start soft foods. I scrambled an egg and ate it slowly with 2 minutes between each bite. It was truly better than sex lol! I feel satisfied but certainly not "full" which is I believe what we are striving for. I feel guilty though because my instruction sheet said I should only have 2 - 4 teaspoons. After 2 weeks of only liquids and stopping the shakes 3 days ago- (they were starting to make me gag because I never liked any of them) I was going to eat the whole egg as long as it went down smoothly! Any thoughts fellow gastric bypass friends?

  10. Thanks for the information. I am really feeling down seeing the scale go up when I’m not eating anything. I guess I’m scared this surgery won’t work.
  11. Hi all I had my surgery Wednesday now it’s Sunday. When I got home from the hospital I weighed 5 lbs more than I was pre surgery. Several days later Still few lbs more than pre op. This is extremely discouraging! Is this normal ?

  13. Hi everyone. I had surgery Wednesday July 31 2019 and today is Saturday August 2 2019. I’m on liquids only and I’m so hungry! I am drinking tons of different liquids including protein shakes. Is it normal to be this hungry so early in the process?
