    Help! Thighs are dying!

    I love him too!
  7. Wow! A month?? Awesome! I am glad that you both have each other for support...Hard to explain when dating and being called "delicate.." I am so happy that I did it too. Mine is mostly because I am happy to be getting healthier, if not as thin as I'd like to be headed into my 4th week...
  8. I’m 21 days post-op from VGS..I have been on purée phase since day 14 (to go to day 30). I have been drinking my pre-op shakes still and doing a little purée, but honestly, I’m just not hungry. It takes everything most of the time for me to want to eat. Anyone else dealing or felt like this around this time? Starting W: 268 Day of Surgery W: 253 Today’s W: 234

What if I’m just not hungry?

I have my post-op surgeon visit tomorrow. Most (if not all) rules have been by my NUT/team. I have followed their book, except eating those little meals. I get all my protein a day (shakes aren't the problem) and am hydrated! I will keep the course, no matter what! Thanks!

How do you have your coffee?

Thank you! I am only 20 days post-op and use it in my tea with a little honey. I was wondering if I was causing any weight-stalls...
  12. I bought this: Immersion Blender LINKChef 4-in-1 Hand Blender Stick Powerful Low Noise Large 800ml Beaker, Stainless Steel Whisk and 500ml Food Chopper, on Amazon and talked to my NUT and she loved it! Just to take the cup and the wand to puree. I travel on the 19th.

AWESOME Arm Video (get rid of flabby arms)

Awesome! Have you seen anything for inner thighs??
  16. Keep your eye on the prize (as they say), which is a healthier YOU! If you have Facebook, there are groups on there as well. I love watching these videos on YouTube by Dr. Vuong...He keeps it real (always follow your doctor's orders), but he has some great things about pre and post surgery. I was sleeved on 7/22 and have mind-hunger and other things that people seem to have on here, but I am keeping afloat! Good luck!
  17. I juice it with my juicer, but if you can google a juice bar or Whole Foods

    Teeth hurt

My dentist talked to me about this before surgery. She said that acid from our stomachs get worse after the surgery and can cause this. She gave me a special toothpaste to try to alleviate it. I go back on Tuesday and will keep you all posted!
  21. Some people in the forums have had this problem. Do you have a care team (with a nutritionist)? If so, I would definitely give them a call/visit. I had mine last week and I was able to talk over major/minor concerns about where I was and how I was doing. The greatest thing was talking through the next month with them. This isn't the surgeon's office, but a supplemental group that was given to me by the hospital I had my surgery. I met with them before the surgery, as well.
  22. Hi! I had mine on 7/22/19 too...congrats! I don't necessarily "feel" full either, but I have tried to stick to my "book" they gave me. I found this video (after watching another one that someone recommended on this forum): I am not saying he is "be-all-know-all," but some of the things he says really makes sense (and I have ordered his book to read more). Everyone is different, but I am trying to do the lifestyle/lifelong thing. Do you have a nutritionist or team that you have to do some follow up with? I just met with mine this past week and it helped a lot. I have my first post-op with my surgeon next week. Hope this helps! Keep going...

Stop Hard Core Workouts after Surgery

Awesome! I think some people forget that everyone's body is different!
  24. I totally agree that you should consult your team and personal doctor! This is just one of his videos and he doesn't say not to walk, which I think in the first months is all my bariatric coordinator's papers said for me! We share things on here to expand different thoughts...by all means, everyone should follow what is good for their bodies! I just ordered his book and subscribed on YouTube..bought his book yesterday and will report back once I read it!
  25. Just watched this after seeing it on from someone's post: It is sooooo on point!
