Haven't been on this site in almost 2 years, so much has happened but I am down 104lbs!!!!!

Hi I am sorry I don't check this site too much anymore. I just got your message. They had to replace my port because it was punctured during a fill. I was never at any danger. The fluid wouldn't stay in my band, it would just leak out so basically the band wasn't working at all. I went back into the hospital and they replaced just the port through the one incision, popped it out and replaced it, sewed me back up and that was it. It was very simple actually.

its going well, now. I had to have my port replaced and now that I am back on track I am losing a good amount of weight again, down 52lbs. How about you?

I am sorry that your not feeling well. Just hang in there. Did they prescribe any pain meds? I was prescribed some heavy duty narcotics which helped ALOT and I only need to take it for 2 days or so. Everything is great on my end. I am eating semi normal foods now and it feels great. I get my first fill on the 25th. I am kind of anxious to see how I will feel after that. I think thats when the reality will set in. Right now I feel as normal as I did before the surgery. Other then the pain, how are you feeling?

My approval process wasn't too complicated at all. I had to submit all of the required documents( which consisted of a psych evaluation, nutrition consult, bloodwork, referral from my primary doctor, EKG, and abdominal ultrasound. I waited about 2 weeks for approval.

click on my ticker and it will take you to the site. You need to create an account and then you need to get the code once you've created it. The code you want to copy is the one for the message boards. Once you copied that code, go to edit signature (on the LBT site) and paste it into the box....this is where your going to add anything that you want to be included in your signature, then at the bottom click save signature...hope this helps! :-)

thanks so much! I find relief when I go for a walk, but once I sit back down it comes right back. Its extremely painful, way worse then I had ever thought. I have a feeling I won't get much sleep because of it tonight. My stomach is fine and I feel great other then the gas pain!!! My doc said not everyone gets it, so I hope for your sake you don't! I would love to share our lapband stories, so keep me updated on your progress. When are you getting banded?

hey Shelly thanks for writing me, I was so thrilled to see someone from around here. I would love to keep updated with your progress. I have Dr. Floch and they said nothing but that, maybe I will call tomorrow to see. I mean how much could celery hurt ya know?? I see your doing well, so how did it go so far??

thanks so much for emailing me. I would love to become your band buddy! I am trying to stay motivated being on this optifast liquid diet for 12 days. I am only on day 3 and let me tell you this sucks LOL! But people like you keep me motivated! I hope to be a success story just like you, keep up the good work!
