Ladies----->birth control question
My doctor told me that I could start back on my pill right after sugery. I just waited until I had my first period. To be safe, since we know every doctor is different, I would call the doctor's office again to see what they say. ~Shelly

my fellow peers..help?
As far as eating goes...I always think it's best to consult with your doctor and let him/her decide what is ok or not. And for the initmacy...most docs will say 4-6 weeks or when you are comfortable to do so.

Fills
Hello All, I had my first fill today. :thumbup: I had 3cc's put into my 10cc band. It was a whole 10 minute appointment and it was not painful at all. It did feel really odd though when she was searching for the right spot on the port. So, I am back on full liquids for the next 2 days and then I can ease back into eating regular foods. ~Shelly

anyone have any problems with isopure??
K, Try New Whey Liquid Protein...it's at GNC. They are in the bullets and have 42g of protein in it. They taste much better than Isopure and I found it easier to get down. I did Water it down (1/2 water & 1/2 New Whey) and sipped throughout the day. Don't try and get it all down at once. Also, remember that the bloating may also be from the surgery itself. Hope you are doing well otherwise! -Shelly

Thank Heaven for Potato Soup
Most Dr's DO allow refried beans, BUT I think it would be healthier if you bought fat-free beans at the store. I add salsa & FF sour cream to mine.

Banded 8-18 and have questions
Are you walking around a lot? This is what I think is the ONLY way to get rid of the gas pains. It needs to work its way out. Make sure you keep taking sips of water as well, you don't want to get dehydrated.

How much protein?
My office recommends it, they also suggest to water it down (half water and half Isopure).
-
How much protein?
My nutritionist recommends 40-60 grams of protein while on liquids. You can get this from drinks like Isopure or the New Whey bullets at stores such as GNC.

Surgery August 6th and still in pain....is this normal?
I think you should call your doctor. It may be normal, however, I have regained my appetite somewhat and have no pain at all anymore. I only had to force myself to "eat" (drinking my liquids), for the first week or so.
