After reading quite a few of the threads on this board I see that there is a BMI requirement and/or co-morbidities needed to get approval from your insurance. I don't think I'll qualify. I haven't called yet but plan to on Monday. Anyone pay completely out of pocket? How much (if I can be so blunt)?

Hi everyone, just floating around the boards ... what exactly is a "fill"? Is that when they tighten the band? I've read a few thread where some of you have said you "feel tight". What does that mean?

Hi everyone! As you can see from the thread title, I'm new to the forum and I've just begun to research the lap band system. And when I say "just begun" I mean, I know nothing about it yet! haha I'm a 24 y.o. stay-at-home mom and half-time student. I have a daughter and a son and a wonderful husband of about 5.5 years. My BMI is almost at 32. I'm 5'10" and hover around 220. Does anyone else have similar numbers here? Where have you all found the best info? I look forward to "meeting" you all!:woot:
