Agreed! Well I’m hoping you’re right about restriction! Thanks
-
Oh man am I stupid.

Thanks. What do you mean by Deja vu?

Hi,
Hi,
I recently stopped feeling restriction. Admittedly, this was after a vacation of over indulging. Has anybody experienced this? Will it come back?
I should add that I’m pretty much done with my weight loss, and the surgery was over 14 months ago.

Hi,
Does anybody here take any form of extended release medication. -

Insurance approved my lower body lift!
I can't tell you how happy I am. I literally cried tears of joy! Sometimes insurance will only approve a portion of the lift, usually panniculectomy (sp?) but they approved everything for me. I had a history of rashes, boils, repeated yeast infections in my belly button. My belly skin sagged to the pubic region, which is probably why they approved me. Not only will this improve my look but my quality of life! I won't have to move my skin around to do things, like pee, or putting on clothes or shower!
So now... What do I need? I need a shopping list of things for this surgery. I might only have a month or two to prepare! Top items on my list:
Power Lift Recliner
Lots of pillows
Walker
Pre-op Skin Wash
Medical side table on wheels
Compression garments come with the surgery but probably need more post-op

A little over 5 months! I’ve been traveling for the holidays so admittedly more grazing. I’m just worried I did damage, as I overate one night!

of I overate one night and since haven’t felt full. Has anybody experienced this? Worried I did some sort of damage!

Nope, but I don’t go overboard. I did get drunk, and very hungover. I’ve drank prob 6 times, sometimes just a glass of wine, and some 3. I’m still in grad school, so it’s part of the culture. On 10/04/2019 at 07:35, Lbtnew said:
Any problems? How much and how often have you had it and did it hinder your weight loss at all ?
Also, this isn’t to you, but others reading lol, yes I know there are other activities I could do with friends, but right now I’m happy, and losing weight, and my doctor is fine with it! -
I was allowed wine after 6 weeks. My doctor is pretty liberal tho

Kind of. Mine is technically labeled as a revision, but it’s because I had a nissen fundoplication (I surgery to prevent heartburn). On 09/13/2019 at 22:21, frosty 84 said:

Here's a sample for you that is appropriate for week two. It is about 1/4cup of food per meal. You might not be able to finish your tuna lunch, but you could come back in an hour or so and be able to finish it -- in the early days.
Also, don't know if your doc allows you to drink milk. My doc wants us to drink 1-2 glasses of milk per day as part of our plan to get Calcium and Protein in, but I rarely do it--cuz I don't really like it.
You can jazz up yogurt with Water drops in different fruit flavors. I like doing plain low fat Greek, cuz then I know exactly how much yogurt I'm getting relative to the additives that they put in it.
Also 3oz of swai (pangasius) is a light fish. It is a raw measurement and it shrinks a ton. So this should give you 1/4c of cooked fish (about 1 1/2-2oz cooked). And at first, you will basically only be eating Protein and some meat lube (low cal, low carb, low sugar) sauces at each meal.

Unfortunately I have class :/ how did you manage to lose so quickly? Could you PM if you have time??On 09/02/2019 at 15:30, SampTheChamp said:
It happens. I lost 24 the first week. I lost really quick. I hit 100 pounds in like 4/5ish months. It's insane. Just try to enjoy the ride my friend. Its gets much better. Trust me! You interested in coming to Dr. Fitzer's monthly support group? They are awesome and super supportive. The next one is September 10th at Reston Hopital. Pavillion II, classroom B @6pm.

I had bypass on July 25th, and I’ve lost 36 pounds. It’s been a while at this weight. I don’t understand how people are at 5 months and have lost 80 pounds!
-
Hi everybody. Bypass patient of fitzer. How much weight had you lost at 6-8 weeks. I’m starting to feel like my weight loss is very slow compared to everybody else.

Hi,
My doctor doesn’t permit any Protein Shakes after 2 weeks. I know it’s unusual, but he is a really good doctor.
I’m having trouble meeting my Protein count! Can I just put protein into the food I’m eating? If so, do you have any suggestions?
I’m allergic to nuts if they makes any difference.

Yeah! I called today. They told me they think my bites are too big and want me to use a baby spoon. If that doesn’t work I will go in!On 08/30/2019 at 09:38, FluffyChix said:
Call your doc. Time for an appointment.

I’m pretty sure it’s food! It can happen when I eat very slowly and with foods that I’ve had no probs with. However, it’s always after eating! I just don’t know what could be causing it!On 08/29/2019 at 22:29, GradyCat said:
I doubt throwing up will damage your pouch, but why are you throwing up? How far post-op are you? Is it nausea? food? Foamies?

Totally. Honestly, I would be okay with feeling less restriction if I knew that something wasn’t wrong! I was just worried I did some sort of damage. I’m able to measure and watch my portions!
