    But Truly MANY of them will not appeal to You! I have tried a small amount of some of mine, and I DON'T KNOW what I ever Saw on them, they just leave me COLD! More than a fair chance you also will be like THAT.

    You are embarking on a new chapter of your life. In order to do so, you need to cut ties with your old habits. I’m a year out and couldn’t fathom eating a sub sandwich, you can have the burger without a bun, pizza is iffy. Make sure you are ready for this, it’s a huge step, but a positive one. Best of luck

    I urge everyone to have a look at this site they have numerous options and reasonable prices.
    Yes it is Australian company but they sell globally and have 1000s of positive reviews and the powders are much more pure than others.
    Thank you

    Thanks for asking. He's lost 12.5 pounds in 2 weeks and his fasting blood glucose went from averaging 130's to 140's down to 91 or 92. He also has a little less back pain (inflammation) now. He's 56 years old and started out weighing 270.

    I’m 14 months post surgery. I’ll turn 55 in November. I was 209 lbs at my surgery consultation. I’m 115 lbs today. This surgery/weight loss tool has been everything I needed to help me take control again. I had the determination, the motivation and the required knowledge but my body never seemed to let me “win” at weight loss and kicking my diabetes. I have been off insulin and oral meds since a few weeks before surgery (I chose to start eating a Bariatric plan early to lose ahead of time).
    Its been so freeing...so life changing.
    If you work the program, you will lose. The rate will vary but the results will be there in the end!

    I am 6 years post-op RNY gastric bypass. Like you said everyone has different taste. The following are the variety of drinks that I have found enjoyable.
    Water with ice cubes.
    No sugar Crystal Light [not a great fan but I served me well at the very beginning when I had to drink something with some flavor and no sugar.]
    Fine English teas such as "Royal Wedding Tea" by Harney and Sons.
    A drink called "Bai" that comes in bottles. [I generally buy these by the case when they are on sale.]
    Hot cocoa during the winter [I use Nestle Nesquick (No Sugar Added) with milk]
    Hot Lipton tea with a half a squeezed lemon to which I added a no calorie/low calorie sweetener.
    And since I am several years post-op and in the Maintenance mode, I have integrated drinking a cup of coffee each morning into my routine. I sweeten it with a no calorie/low calorie sweetener and add a couple tablespoons of whipped cream to the top. The whipped cream I make from scratch using heavy whipping cream and for a whip cream sweetener I use Spenda. I have found that it is a good way to start my mornings because it contains fats which minimize hunger.

    Lynda486 reacted to texasnewf in Here is a list of Pureed Food Ideas
    I scoured the forum for tips from people and came up with a revised list of things to try. I'll be adding to this and updating as time goes on but this is a lot to go on and gives me hope as I start my pureed diet phase this weekend. Enjoy !

    1. Eggface Ricotta Bake (google it)
    2. Green bean casserole (bariatric style) with canned chicken
    3. tuna casserole (bariatric style) with green Beans instead of peas
    4. Mexican beef with cheese or beans with cheese (too carby for me--made me hungry too soon after eating)
    5. Broccoli, spinach or cauliflower pureed with light cream cheese, lemon juice, s/p/g (steam the crap out of it first)
    6. Smashed cauliflower with bacon and green onions (put in a food processor)
    7. Any Soup or chili made bariatric style
    8. Fish in foil pouches with lemon and spices/herbs.
    9. zucchini sauteed with onion, tomatoes and herbs and pureed--can add any kind of lean meat.< /span>
    10. yogurt/cottage cheese blends with berries.
    11. Pureed black Beans with a bit of cheese
    12. Yellow Split Pea Soup puree
    13. Buffalo chicken Dip puree
    14. Broccoli cheese Soup puree
    15. Pureed Chicken salad
    16. 4 Cheese mashed cauliflower
    17. Hummus - Roasted Red Pepper by Sabra
    18. Eggface Cottage Cheese Bake (sub out cottage cheese for ricotta + parmesan + ps mozza shreds + low carb marinara)
    19. Cottage cheese flavored with taco seasoning
    20. Progresso chicken enchilada soup with mashed cauliflower & ground chicken pureed
    21. Scrambled egg with a little milk and topped with a teaspoon of salsa
    22. Pureed Italian sausage with a little green and red pepper with Spagetti sauce
    23. Applesause (unsweetened) with a sprinkle of cinnamon
    24. Pureed Lentil soup with shredded cheese
    25. Shiitake mushroom pizza with ground chicken and pizza sauce and cheese on top - all put in blender. Sounds weird but really good

    I haven't been on here in a long time. I got very sick in the fall. Severe pain out of the blue and passed out one night and woke up on my bathroom floor. I'm stubborn as hell and went to the Dr. 3 days later, because you know, I was feeling a little better day by day so why bother going?? [emoji848] I was admitted to the hospital for several days with a severe infection and dx with diverticulitis. Thankfully days of IV antibiotics got me on the right track...if not I was looking at surgery to remove a section of my colon. Then I had a never ending UTI which is very unusual for a male. Turns out I had 3 different bacteria in my system, 2 of which could only be picked up from a hospital setting. More antibiotics and a trip to an infectious disese specialist and roughly half a year later I'm finally cured!
    I've been able to maintain my weight pretty well but was disappointed to postpone my TT that was scheduled for last fall. I know, I know, my health and recovery from the other stuff was way more important. And, there is a reason for everything!
    I'm thrilled to finally be 30 days out from my TT surgery on 8/21. Truly can't wait for this milestone on my journey to be complete! [emoji847] Maybe I'll work up the guts to post before and after pics. 🤷‍♂️
    In any event, I shut the world out for a while so it's good to be back to my nerdy, tattooed, quirky self!
    HW = 360
    SW = 292
    GW = 220 reached 3/7/18

    156 pounds lost! [emoji106]

    It happened to me, too. Boo-hoo.😪 Two sets of jiggly batwings. Saggy upper arms and freakishly saggy boobs. After four pregnancies and so much milk that I donated gallons to a milk bank... I got nuthin' now. To "celebrate" my amazing new silhouette, I've stopped wearing a bra. I mean, what's the point? And really... I might as well go out and get myself the same training bra I had when I was 11 years old, the one with the little pink rosebud in the middle.

    If your diet was a lot of sugar/starch/enriched flour you are going to notice a dramatic drop during the pre op and clear/full liquid phase post op its your body detoxing. I didnt have to do a liquid pre op diet and I still lost 20lbs from it and another 20 during the post op liquid phase. You can search my history I was very stressed about the Protein portion until I found a shake I could tolerate (Unjury readymade shakes).

    I'm 7 months post-op sleeve and 54 years old. I never had a single problem or complication. I had GERD for many years prior to the surgery and now I don't have it at all. I don't have sleep Apnea anymore. I don't have High Blood Pressure anymore. I've lost a fair amount of weight and have another 6-12 months of losing to do.
