  1. First of all I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! We have been busy, but it was very good indeed. I have discovered something and wanted to share it with you all. I was at my brother and sister-in-laws house for Chinese food for Christmas Eve dinner. We decided for fun that we would all eat with chop sticks. I have never ate with chop sticks before so it took me a bit to get onto it. Well, everyone else was complaining, but I LOVED IT!!! It is perfect for a bandster!!! Small bites, by the time you get more food together you have long since eaten the last bite. No golf balling, no waiting for food to go down, lots of time to figure out if your full. No wonder Asian people are thin. So I brought home 8 sets of sticks. I think I'm going to eat with them always, they are perfect!!!
  2. I agree with everyone. Dr. Cobourn and TLBC both exceptional. Either one you can't go wrong. Let us know how it goes!!!
  3. Hi Mookie Congrats on your new date, I'm very excited for you. Dr. Cobourn is amazing!!! Ya, the optifast is, well, not the greatest, but could be alot worse. I had to be on opti-fast for 3 weeks, here's some tricks I did to help cope. First I took 21 little post-it stickies up on my cupboard. Every time I drank a meal I would rip one off (sometimes ripped it to shreads). It was nice to see the posties getting less and less, it was a visual thing for me. Then I only ate something once, on the third night I think. Celery, I believe. It was easier to not eat anything at all, then to eat. The chewing just made me want to eat more. Last but not least drink it blended in a blender, and definately with ice to make it really, really cold. Don't forget to lean on us as much as possible. That really, really helped me. Thats what were here for. Well, and to harass the hell out of Yoda!!. lol Good Luck Mookie!!! Your gonna do great!!!!
  4. Hi becca Unfortunatly, I have had the misfortune of not being able to get to a bathroom. The good news was, I was alone in my car. It came on very quickly. I dumped out a bag of groceries quick, and slimed in the bag. I almost ditched the car doing it, but I eventually pulled over, slimed again, and that was that. I think as a precaution for the first few months, keeping a bag near you all the time is a good idea. I remember Mandi talking about her empty tim horton cup she always left in the car. LOL
  5. Hey Mandi, can't wait to hear what everyone said when they saw you???!!!
  6. All's well, that ends well!!!! It's nice to have a PB for the relief of it all. Too bad it was your Christmas dinner. Did you get to eat anything afterwards or was it 'I can't eat anything for a while' ones? Hey, congrats on looking great!!!!!
  7. WOW LORIELY, look at your ticker.. HALF-WAY!!!!!! WTG!!!!
  8. Personally, I would not do it. It will feel like you got kicked in the stomache for a few days, plus the incisions I found were hurting me. Not bad, but enough to want to just lie there. Then they don't hurt at all. Everyone is different though. I just wouldnt bank on it!! Hope that helps.:girl_hug:
  9. Merry Christmas to all my lapbander friends!!!! I'm sorry, I've been off-line all week because of my stupid service provider. I just logged on and have seen tons of posts I've missed, but I don't have time right now to go over them, so I just wanted to say a VERY WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS to all of you!!! We'll talk to you all soon, when things settle down. All the best, Cloe/Carey:)
  10. I know what you mean Loriely. I'm trying to be good, but the truffles keep coming at me from all directions, it's horrible!!!!
  11. You guys are nasty!!! I'm taking neenaughs side here, I'm half imperial and half metric!! That explains alot, eh??
  12. I'm not 100% sure, but I think a little dab will do ya!! I don't think you use too much or it tastes yucky, kinda like food colouring.
  13. Hey Loriely, WTG, Good Job!!!
  14. WTG Girls!!!! Awesome Job!!!!!
  15. I'm with these guys. Definately blend with lots of ice!! I however preferred it without anything added. But definately don't use the shaker. Wrap it up and give it to someone for Christmas. lol.
  16. Ohhh Lila, sounds wonderful!!!! I love Mexico?? Are you near Cozemel??? Don't worry about your fill, it'll probably take a while to adjust. Just remember chew, chew, chew, you know the score. Have a Pina Colada for us up here!!! Have a wonderful Christmas!
  17. Ohhhh, I know I'm gonna get hit here but.... I LOVE THE SNOW!!! I just love the seasons. By the end of winter, then I want the hot summer, but I love the changes. Then again I live on a farm, so I'm up to my eyeballs with mud, yuck!! But alas, burning my butt in Mexico sounds devine!! 4:smokin: . sorry.
  18. Thank you, I'm gonna try it.
  19. A photo. put on a file
  20. Can someone please help this computer-stupid person...lol I have a pic I want to post. I have the file on my computer but when I upload it, it say it is 1.32 and too big. I need to make it smaller before I can upload it. Can someone tell me in human terms how to make a file smaller??? Thank-you:)
  21. This woman has issues. She seems to have a need to fix things that arent broken and ignore things that need her attention. My question is, why put her on stage and share her problems with the world if she hasnt answers to share?
  22. Go, GO Bandiva!!!
  23. OMG, the storm knocked over those trees???
  24. Well, Christmas is just about a week away. I cannot see me reaching my goal of 260. However it was a pretty steep goal of 17 pounds so I am absolutely thrilled with 12 pounds gone. I have to admit that my diet hasn't been quite normal the past couple of weeks. Things like cookies, chocolates, alcohol keep passing under my nose. I know this isn't thanksgiving, but this is what I am thankful for this Christmas. -I did not eat the whole bag of cookies -I did not hide any chocolates around the house so I could eat them when no-one is looking. -I am not stuffing myself to the point of being sick. I have indulged in little treats in the lasts couple of weeks, the key word being 'little'. This is the holidays, and I will not deprive myself of enjoying my life. This time last year I weighed almost 100 pounds more then now, the best thing I ever did was give myself the gift of the lapband. I am going to enjoy this Christmas holiday more than I have in a long, long time, and that will include the small 'little' treat. Anyway, my ticker may or may-not, move in the next couple weeks, but January is just around the corner. BIG goals then  .
