  1. Ohhhh, okay....see, I WAS missing something. That is a dilemma. Fortunately, you'r government will pay, but then you have the wait. Damned if ya do, or don't.
  2. Basically throwing up. If you eat too fast or don't chew enough, and food gets stuck in the band and cant go down, well...........it comes up. Thats the long and short of it. It's sometimes is accompanied by pain(when it is stuck), then a huge relief, and is usually accompanied with large amounts of slime. I'm not trying to scare you, honestly. It's not that bad. Everyone will do it eventually........except maybe Irishmist(hey Maria, are you still a PB virgin?). Basically it's throwing up. Hope that helps.
  3. I think I'm missing something?? I had a consultation in 3 weeks, and booked my surgery that day for 8 weeks later.
  4. Good Luck Lila!!! Like Mandi, I am also curious, where your at with your fills(how many, cc's, etc)???
  5. 'The year of the vomit' Ha, Ha, I like that!!...........not really I find my PBing goes in stages. I wont PB for months, then 2-3 in a row. Hence, I do believe that the irratation thing is true. If you irratate your band, the more tightness, heartburn and PBing goes on, and its like chasing your tail til you give it a rest for a day or so.
  6. JLB Welcome! Best of Luck in you journey. Let us know how it goes!
  7. Ha, Ha, Ha Hilairious!!! Oh, green, I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you.:rolleyes
  8. Mandi, I'm feeding off your energy.............Do you feel the drain?? I'm sick of eating the $hit around here. You've totally inspired me with your energy, thank-you. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  9. OMG, that would be too funny.

  11. Hi misspiano, welcome!!! I cannot help you with the area of sarnia, but I can tell you I have never had a single regret, except that I wish I had done lapband sooner!!! Feel free to come on and visit with us any time. Good Luck!!
  12. Your doing great Bandiva!!! It's okay to feel what your feeling. That has been the hardest lesson for me. I didnt allow myself to feel, therefore ate, and ate, and ate. Feeling what your feeling, no-matter what it is, is just fine. Feel it and next thing, your mov'n on.
  13. I'm sorry I cannot help you, but hang tight, there will be someone who can. Keep checking in and you'll get some answers. Also, go back to some old threads on the Canadian section here, you might find what your looking for.
  14. Woo Hoo, I'm Bridget Bardot.
  15. Well, thanks green, but actually I havent weighed myself since Christmas Eve. I'm kinda (really) scared. I'm gonna brave it tommorow - Jan 1st!!
  16. 1. I slipped a few times this year going to the Casino, not a good place for me. So NOT entering the Casino in 2007!!!! 2. Paying off my Visa, Yikes!! 3. Before the end of the year, I would like to jog. Even if it's a little bit. 4. Grow my hair back. 5. Have more fun with my family.
  17. Better grab Mr. Yoda for some more exercise!!!
  18. Okay, new year coming up and I feel the need to purge and refresh. I got out my 'rules to live by' from my surgeon, just to go over again. I thought I would share them with you guys, just in cause you feel the same as me. 1. Eat only 3 small meals a day, dense with Protein and fibre. I need to work on this. 2. Include 2 Snacks a day high in protein, Vitamins and minerals. I need to work on this. 3. Restrict total meal size to less than 1 cup. I need to work on this. 4. Eat slowly - small bites, chew well(30 min/meal) stop eating as soon as you feel full. 5. Choose solid foods ONLY, after your soft diet. You will feel full longer.I'm not doing this as well as I should. 6. Do not eat and drink at the same time. Drink a minimum of 45-60 minutes after a meal and 15 before the next. I use to do this better. 7. Drink a minimum of 48-64 ozs of Water daily. 8. Avoid alcoholic and carbonated beverages. Ahh ya, hello, it's new years. No problem afterwards. 9. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. 'hangs head low and walks away' 10. Take one chewable or crushed Multivitamin and Calcium supplement daily. This could be more consistant. I guess you could call this the 10 commandments of lapbanders. I need to work on these things again, as you can see. Happy New Year All!!!!
  19. w-e-l-o-v-e-y-a!!!
  20. Ha, Ha, I wish....I least know I have them now, but sticking out.....not quite yet.
