  2. HEY, I'm in the May Bandster group too!!!:clap2: I'll be banded by Dr. Cobourn, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada on May 26th at 7:15 am,YEAH! Have to go on Optifast for 3 weeks!:omg: Consultation day, I weighed 347 lbs , BMI 58:eek: . Good luck to everyone!!!
  3. What great advice Susan! The liver thing you were talking about snapped me out of it!! Also, I can really understand what you meant about having hope with the band. Now that I have a date set and moving towards my new life, I'm so excited and HOPEFUL!!
  4. Thanks for all the replys. It's nice to know Im not the only crazy one...LOL. I'm sure as my surgery approaches I'll get serious.
  5. I have an appointment with my Docter on March 27th, I will be setting a date to get banded, hopefully the first of May. My problem is that I am going crazy eating everything, in anticipation of this lifestyle change. I want to be banded soooooo bad, and know this is the answer for me. I know I can do this once I put my mind to it(I can be very strong), but I'm a little afraid of my emotions after banding if I can't just stuff my face!!! I must have gained 15 pounds since I've decided to do this. I've always used food to calm myself. What can you do if you can't binge. I'm afraid I'll climb the walls, go insane for something. This sounds so pathetic, but I was just wondering if anyone else felt this way pre-op, and if anyone has strategies for post-op? Thanks, Cloe:help:
  6. Hi Crazy, I'm actually only a couple hours away from Dr. Cobourn,so its not to far for me. Keep me informed how this experience is going for u, I'm kinda freak'n out a bit, hope Dr. Cobourn can ease my nerves, I want this to work soooo bad! Take Care, Cloe:nervous
  7. I'd like to here from Crazycanuck and anyone else banded by Dr. Cobourn. How was your experience? I have a meeting set up with him for the end of March.I have to say I'm really nervous about the procedure, but excited that this could be the answer, finally!!
  8. Hi Argon. My appointment with Dr. Cobourn is March 27th, so I'll miss you by a couple of days. I would sure love to here how your surgery day goes. I'm terrified of surgery! It's the only thing I'm worried about. Hope to here from you. I'm still trying to figure my way around this website.Take care, Cloe...how many pounds do u want to lose?
  9. I just booked my consultation with Dr. Coburn, I'll be seeing him the end of March. I've heard good things about him. Anyone heard anything about long term effects. I'm very excited about getting banded, hoping to be banded before summer! My present weight is about 330 lbs. I would love to hear from anyone else, what there going through, etc...I'm not exactly sure how to work this website very good yet.
