My name is Elaine and we have started a little support group on Long Island about a year ago. A bunch of us meet that are at different stages in our journey. It is very informal and nice to chat with others that are experiencing the same issues you may be during your journey.
If anyone else from the area will like to join us we will be meeting this Saturday June 3rd at Panera in Garden City 1140 Franklin Ave at 2:30. The group consist of both men and women.

Congratulations!!!! We all get stalled along on our journey. 31 pounds is fabulous. Your body is adjusting to the change do not get discouraged because you only lost 11lbs one month. That is excellent. Our bodies all loose at different paces and it is ok. I am one yr and 2 months post op 84 pounds down. I had stalls some months 4 pounds others over 10 pounds and as you get closer to a year you will start loosing slower and it is ok. Just follow Drs orders and you will be fine. You look amazing and congrats again!!!![emoji6]

I had bypass in 2008 and have some regain that I am determined to get off. I have started with the pouch reset with the liquids and will work my way back down to where I was before the regain.

Welcome, we are meeting February 10th. I can let you know the place and time once it is decided. I live in Suffolk and I am 1 yr 5 months post op. Everyone here is really nice. Hi everyone, the summer went so fast and now here we are starting off the holiday season this Thursday with Thanksgiving. I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas. If you are interested in meeting again in the New Year let me know and we can see what we can set up.

Not really. I'd have to start really overeating to pack on much more. My weight has been steady for months.
Instead of spending brainpower worry about regaining, I'll spend brainpower working on how to lose more.

No, for me the sleeve was the right decision. I did not want to worry about the dumping syndrome you get with the bypass, but that is me. Someone else could be absolutely fine with the bypass

I had my sleeve surgery a year ago and in May had a new sleep study. I was told at this point for me it is genetic and I will be on the CPAP. I am down 84 pounds. My Dr said most do come off it after they loose a lot of weight.
