  1. Hi, I am here b/c I am hoping to find out how I can support my sister who is getting ready to go through Lap-Band Surgery this Wednesday. We do not live in the same state so I can't be there with her when she has her procedure but want to support her as she begins her "journey" to the new her! My sister has always been a bit "overweight" but over the pas 16 years (though the birth of 4 children), her weight has gotten to the point that dieting and exercise does NOTHING for her. We come from a family where "weight issues" are very apparent and it is something that I too have dealt with, just not on the maganatude that she has. I am so excited and scared for her at the same time. Please help me in how I can support her without being tooo "pesky" or nosy about what she's going through. THanks in advance for your help!
