When you have the feeling of gas. WALK IT OFF. Walking will help move the gas out easier.

Vavoon_1020 reacted to Frustr8 in Nausea
And nausea still rears its Ugly Little Head for me and I am 8.5 months out from my RNY. Maybe my tummy will be more sensitive the rest of my life, but it's Okay, I would rather be a little queasy and 200 than a Cast-Iron digestion and approaching 400. Back then the only times I bubbled over was when I tried to eat myself into oblivion, believed if I didn't eat everything I saw somebody else might get IT, and that is a SAD SAD WAY TO THINK! Nothing tastes as good as Smaller Feels! Love and a Hug from Frustr8 in Ohio!

Vavoon_1020 got a reaction from Ruby Hernandez in May 2019 Surgeries 🎉
Day by day I'm felling much better. But for some reason I'm thinking maybe they have mistakenly removed my whole stomach, cause it can't hold anything really. I just looked at the shakes, chicken broth or cottage cheese and I'm full.

Vavoon_1020 reacted to Mafi Mushkila in May 2019 Surgeries 🎉
Just completed my surgery on the 15th of May along with a Hiatal hernia repair and the first 16 hours was a bit rough but I must say, getting up and walking as they reccomended really helped. I am 2 days out of surgery now and feel like a million bucks! I have no pain, no nausea nothing! I pushed myself very hard during the Preop diet and excercised like a mad man and I really think this helped. My wonderful wife has been a really great partner in this success story.

Vavoon_1020 reacted to lyladyp in May 2019 Surgeries 🎉
Hello, I did it and am now home recovering. I agree the first day was absolutely uncomfortable and I felt as if the nurses were trying to hold out on giving me pain medication! They were okay giving me blood thinner, medicine for nausea, but pain medicine was an afterthought. Otherwise, everything else went fine. I thought I was going to have to stay another night due to low magnesium but was given an IV and the okay to go home.
I was not expecting to feel this uncomfortable, but I am happy that I took off 2 weeks from work because I was not sure that I would need it. I now realize that everything related to this surgery (from beginning to the end) is a very slow process and you cannot rush anything. Thanks for your positive words and best wishes to you as you progress!👍🏽 🙂

Hello all, I am 3 days post OP, whenever I drink Water or the shakes after I swallowed and got to the stomach. My stomach started to rumble like it's gassy. And also feels like I need to pass gas, but even will have a bowel movement if I try to 🤷🏽♀️ what do I do?

I had mine done on Monday May 13th as well. I had to stay another night as I was very nauseous n couldn't drink my liquids. I was determined to get home yesterday, where I knew that I would be able to recover. I immediately was home n had the first BM n then took a 2 hour nap.

Feeling satisfied and full are two different things. The farther you get post op, the more capacity your stomach will have. If you are always chasing the full feeling, it will be very easy to overeat, both quantity and frequency. If you can learn to enjoy the feeling of being satisfied, but not full, then that will make the path much easier.

Vavoon_1020 reacted to Colorado Cowgirl in PLEASE HELP. I’m 2 weeks post op with very little weight loss.
I don't think so. Follow your doc's program. I'm 6 weeks out and just started walking more regularly and just started seeing regular loss. Your body is healing now and trying to figure out what happened. I couldn't walk at much as you do at 2 weeks. I get that we all want to blink and be at goal weight but it takes time. We didn't gain it all overnight.

I have made it to the losers bench! Surgery went well. I am sore and tired but I have made it. Will go home on Thursday from what I hear. Also the gas is a b$tch. Make sure you walk and stay on top of your meds. I’m waiting for my next set of meds then back to sleep.< /p>
