How long until you went out to dinner?
delfie replied to AnnieD78's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
As soon as I was on "normal" food. I sometimes order off the kids menu because the portions are smaller. -
This is me, also.

I kind of think of this as a good thing. It has helped me disengage from food emotionally.

Yay you!

Food stuck...Weight Loss Goals
delfie replied to DJTonyG's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is a real struggle for me too. My bites are too big and it is really hard to chew long enough. Being less distracted and focusing on just eating is one way to help it, but a lifetime habit is hard to break, as you said. -
Day 3 stomach spasms--Yowza! Is this normal?
delfie replied to cris20495's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
cris20495, each of my stages were about 7 days, so I was back on "normal food" within 21 days. But it was (and is) just the low amount of calories I am consuming. The first two weeks I was at approximately 600 calories. I have increased to about 1000 calories per day now and, as I said, the dizziness is better but it does still happen at times. Make sure you get up slowly and be careful. -

cris20495, yes! To be honest, I still do feel lightheaded when I get up at times. It has improved a lot, but the first 4 weeks or so it was all the time.
