  1. Thank you for responding. I appreciate knowing the details. I used the silicone sheeting on my breasts, I think it worked on all but two areas at my side. But the laser therapy is news to me. I will ask about that when I go for my consult in October. Because for people who scar like me, we have to weigh the benefits. Saggy skin - huge ugly scar...... It also makes me sad that I will probably have to give up on any idea of face work in the future, until someone invents a skin-shrinking-no-scar laser machine.
  2. I was vomiting before Christmas and yes it is disturbing. There was nothing in my pouch and whatever the stomach was trying to reject, just did not come up. So the heaving was just for not. But as Dibaby said, the body just takes over and there is nothing we can do. I DID however, find it helpful to drink hot Water. It seemed to sooth things down. I hope your symptoms go away quickly. Hugs
  3. What if anything can be done at the time of surgery for skin that tends to form hyprotropic scares? OR Is this something that is dealt with post surgery with injections? Honestly, I have no idea, but we hear of surgeons who are specialists dealing with hypertrophic scaring or true keloid patients. Thanks in advance. I have hypertrophic scaring from my breast reduction 3 years ago and one of my band incisions is still red and rope like, 2 years out. I am considering a tummy tuck.
  4. Well, I just started the 10K Learn to Run program through SportMed. Yesterday was my first training session. 34 minutes of walk/run. I feel good so far. In 13 weeks, I will be running (ie:jogging slowly) the Vancouver Sun Run, with my 13 year old daughter who is training with me.:wink2:
  5. I started losing right after surgery, but that is because my surgeon required a 30 day clear liquid fast. I also started 'really losing' when I hired a personal trainer. I only really lose when I put my mind to it, eat clean, and exercise my buns off. 2 pounds from goal.
  6. That's great. I don't notice that my groceries are much less as I have a husband and 3 growing kids, but I DO notice a LOT MORE left overs.:wink2:
  7. I am having some of the same issues, with only 2 more pounds to lose. ha, I really should declare that I have 10 more to lose, then I might try harder. But, this too shall pass and you and I will declare goal, and then we can declare a triumph and focus our energies on something else healthy and worthwhile. hugs my dear. looking forward to MY TT late 08 or early 09.
  8. Ghost, I am a memeber of breasthealthonline, I have access to many TT pictures and I have to say, YOURS is one of the most transformational TTs I've seen. Your surgeon must be awesome. You look fantastic.
  9. Glad you got that sorted out. Boy, you are close hey! Good for you.
  10. That's encouraging, thanks. I don't belive you but that was encouraging...........
  11. I am doing a similar program, learn to run 10K. I did my first session yesterday, it felt great UNTIL THIS MORNING.......SORE LEGS......lol!
  12. I feel a tightening at least 2 weeks after a fill. Especially now that I am at the upper limits of fills in my 4.0 band. I am at 3.2. Things that make me tighter: stress when I am nervous PMS the car (for some strange reason) travel (for some reason) altitude changes certain foods Basically, lots of things that I have noticed and taken notice of. Some people say our bands have a mind of their own. I am thinking they are right. When I am feeling miserable (as you described), and that is very seldom, I drink some hot Water and take it easy.
  13. That is an amazing transformation my dear Anglenurse. WOW! Your incisions look really good, good for you. Keep up the healing, don't over do anything. You only get one chance to heal...hugs....
  14. That is an amazing transformation my dear Anglenurse. WOW! Your incisions look really good, good for you. Keep up the healing, don't over do anything. You only get one chance to heal...hugs....
  15. Awwwwwwwwww, hugs Julie, we all know how it feels when life just gets crazy. Be good to yourself my dear. January just seems to be a hard month.
  16. Question it not, just ride it as long as you can......lol, sounds like you are in a good spot...
  17. Want2beme, did she put in an extra 2.3cc or take you from 1.5 to 2.3. In our small band a fill of 2.3, which would have taken you to a total of 3.8ccs sounds dangerously huge to me. On the other hand a fill of 2.3 in total sounds about right, but ya it feel very tight. How is it going today?
  18. How about an update. How is everything going? How are you feeling? hugs
  19. I too have fleeting moments of this too. I am thinking too that everyone who doesn't know that I had WL surgery is probably just waiting for me to gain it back. LOL!
  20. I agree with Tammy, it depends on your build. I am 6 ft and not little and a D is a nice size for me. Hey, how exciting for you tomorrow, WOW. Please check in when you are feeling better and let us know how you are doing.
  21. OK, nuff fooling around, back at the gym hard and eating cleaner.
  22. Yea everyone! Thanks for the support. I had been slacking off over the holidays. I have been downhill skiing, but that is no cardio workout. I have been feeling blue and hiding out in the house, so I forced myself today and wow, I feel 1000% better. My dd is making me do some walk/run training with her to do a 10K jog in April, so that will keep me jogging 3 times a week. I am signed up and HAVE to do it or I'll die at the start line. It really is a mood lifter isn't it?
  23. Above posters speak the truth. I had was sick before the holidays and it was horrible. I am going to look for that product you mentioned Fairy.
  24. I am 2 pounds from goal and that hasn't budged in weeks. I know I have to up my exercise as much as I don't want to admit it. But it is a fact. I will not lose weight unless I exercise hard. You are only 10-15 pound from goal, your body needs to have something mixed up. Sad but true. lol
