I'm doing ok, My surgery is in 2 days. It's on Monday, April 22nd. Good to hear that you are staying active. From what I read, each day things get better.

It is so good to read so much positivity and happiness. I too have no regrets. None at all except I wish I had done it sooner. April 20 is my 2 year Surgiversary. I went from 248 and a very tight size 22 bottom and 2x top to a healthy 117 size 4 and xs top. No more asthma or sleep apnea. No Cpap machine. Each day is still a challenge but I have even joined a gym. I actually look forward to going. I know some people have not been as lucky as we have been and I sympathize but it was worth the chance I took. I have my life back. Good luck to you in the rest of your journey. Hello, my surgery date is on April 22nd and i have been waiting for this day since last summer. I live in NJ but my surgery is at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. I am currently on a two week liquid and raw veggie diet. The days are speeding by fast. I have no idea what I am getting myself into. I have done my research and have read the forums and prayed from time to time but reading is different from actually having the surgery and experiencing post op and beyond. This is going to be a new journey for real. I pray that I stick with what I need to do to succeed. I am very thankful to the"Bariatric Pal" app. Is there any other person having the surgery on the same day and/ or at the same hospital?

Sorry yes everything went great had surgery on April 9th I was terrified about being put under, when I was ready to be brought back they gave me something to relax me and I was out lol. Woke up in some pain, I had the morphine pump which was the only thing that did not agree with me, it made me nauseous and very out of it, I stopped that at 2am and switched to norco. After that it was sooo much better, drinking was fine, I spent two nights in the hospital, came home and day 3 post op I started puréed food, everything has been good not much pain only when I turn a certain way I feel it in my left side where the dr said he did most of the work. I did not experience any gas pains. For anyone like me who was afraid of being put under it is like everyone says your asleep and then you wake up and it’s over lol not as terrifying as I thought. CW 238 I weighed myself when I got home from the hospital I will weigh myself again on Tuesday.

Just had my sleeve op yesterday. 1st cup of tea just sipping now. Feel really good. Was rough yesterday but today I feel totally fine. Hardly any pain. Only when I get up or get down. Really happy.

I want to thank you for the information. I pray that I don't get nauseated. I hear a lot about the gas pains while at the hospital. Do you know if they would allow me to take Gas X chewables at the hospital? I am concerned about the pain. How do you get out of bed with the incision not healed?

I need it too. Although I am slightly nervous, I have worked really hard to get here. So, with that being said, I didn’t come this far just to remain this far. Totally focused and committed! No turning back, just better days ahead. We can do this!

April 26. Just starting my 2 week liquid diet today.

I’m the day after you, at Good Samaritan in Corvallis. The program has been great so far. I’m coming to peace with the surgery, taking walks and trying to stay busy.
