Is there something special you have to activate to see visitors? I suppose it is possible no one has visited my profile.

You wrote "Every morning I look at my profile and can see who my last five or six visitors were. "

I didn't realize we had this ability to see our visitors until you posted this. Thanks. I often visit profiles to see where they have posted. Hope I am not being thought of as a stalker.

I am sorry but what is BSG and why did it make you feel sad?

I am sure during that year long wait you have obtained a huge amount of info about the future with this new tool. You will rock this and be feeling so much better once the weight starts coming off without the hunger pains you have now. Good luck!

Mina read up on this forum as well as the numerous book out there about WLS then you will know all about the pre and post surgery. I read and watched everything I could get my hands on and went into surgery without a doubt in my head this was for me. Even if there were complications (which there weren't any as I was very positive about this surgery) I felt it would be better then where I was before the surgery. I am here if you need to chat online. Do you mind if I send you a friend request?

  10. I have lost of total of 248.6 pounds, I now weigh less than I have lost. Just went today for my 6th month blood work up. I see the surgeon on July 25th. I hope the blood work up will be good and am hoping to lose another 6 to 8 pounds before I see him.

Thanks everyone! Would you believe since I posted the above comment I have lost another 4.4 pounds in only 3 days. I still can't believe I am getting so small. I took in a pair of pants yesterday and said to my room mate I think I sewed these too small. I couldn't believe they fit me. It is so odd for me to see my pants being so small and I still have 89 more pounds to lose.

  12. I can finally start eating soft foods tomorrow !! How much should I be eating at a sitting

    1. ssflbelle

      ssflbelle

yep you will probably be starting out with very small portions. Make sure your food is soft and moist. I started with 1/4 cup of cottage now I can finally eat a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Yogurt was half the container, now I can finally eat a whole container of yogurt. Of course these aren't eaten in one meal. Still haven't been able to get to too many vegs, I am just too full on the 2 to 3 oz of the meat protein. Oh by the way I am 5 months post op and each day is different for me as to what I can tolerant and can't.

  14. I need new underwear, but I refuse to buy any since my surgery is in less than 2 weeks!

    1. ssflbelle

      ssflbelle

I hear you! I too have waited quite awhile. Not only is it my underwear but my bra and clothes in general. are all swimming on me. The underwear bunch is painful and the legs of the pants are so long now that I am stepping on them. Being on disability I really can't afford to buy new clothing at this stage. I am grateful I can use a sewing machine and take everything in. I just need to sit down at the machine this summer and get busy. Don't plan on buying anything till I get below 200.

Dub On this stall I was finally able to eat and drink a bit more protein and got over 80. The previous stalls were too soon and I still had a great deal of pain after eating so barely got to 60.

  18. WOW 2nd week in a row I lost 6 pounds. These 12 pounds lost make up for the previous 2 weeks stall.

    1. ssflbelle

      ssflbelle

Yep stalls will happen and I must admit the first one really threw me for a loop. I had lost 19 pounds in 10 days and then over night gained back 4 and sat at that weight for some time until I dropped the 4 I had gained and then dropped 5 more until I hit the 2nd stall. Sat there for awhile lost a few more and then had my 3rd stall. Seems like I lose for 2 weeks and then stall for 2 weeks or more. But like I said I'll take them especially when I lose 12 pounds after a stall. Tuesday will be 16 weeks since I had my surgery and I have lost 51 pounds. For a journey total of 234 pounds.

  19. I'm freaking out a little, in a good way! Tonight I was able to hobble onto the scale because my curiosity got the better of me, since I haven't been able to weigh myself in a while because of my knee surgery and huge bulky brace. I'm exactly 200 pounds lighter than my highest weight! I am so, so happy to have made yet another enormous milestone! I love all of you. Thank you for being so kind and supportive. Onward to my next milestone in 21 pounds: losing half of my highest bodyweight. Can't stop, won't stop. :)http://imgur.com/NOpEeIs

  20. What a waste of my time getting showered, dressed and driving to the Dr office only to be told he wouldn't do the injections as my BP was too high. Two weeks ago at my 3 month checkup I had normal BP and today the bottom number was over 100. These injections can cause high BP so they wouldn't give them to me and asked me to reschedule. Before the BP was taken they asked me about my diabetes. I told them I don't have diabetes why does every one assume I do. That along with the anticipation of these injections I think caused me to have higher BP. Next time when I go back I think I will take one of my old BP pills I was told to stop taking at 1 month post op. Rather disappointed by this but I have waited many many years what is another week's delay.

  25. Had surgery to remove a staghorn kidney stone on Wednesday. I'm up 20 pounds!!! I'm sure it's just fluid, but hard to see.... What makes it worse is I have to have another procedure in 2 weeks. :-(

    1. ssflbelle

      ssflbelle

So sorry to hear about the kidney stone and the upcoming surgery. Yep the 20 pounds up is fluids and should come off quickly. What is the second procedure you have to have? What caused the kidney stones did they say?
