  1. Congrats!
Losingit2018 reacted to Dances with Carbs in I feel like I have mono- 3 weeks PO
I also had no energy. I would have slept all day if I didn't need to hydrate and get Protein in. I started to get my energy back at 5 weeks post op. I'm at 9 weeks post op now and I feel great. Hang in there. You're body just went through a major ordeal and it's trying to heal and adjust.

Like the others have already mentioned. Warm drinks and broth. Jello and popsicles. I used to freeze my Protein Shakes so that I could eat them with a spoon like ice cream.
Just keep reminding ding yourself that this will only last a short time. You can do this!
I am on a 2 week preop diet right now for a revision from sleeve to bypass so I do feel your pain.
Hang in there and good luck.

I agree with poster above. I am looking from my phone and I can see the outline for sure. To me it does not look natural at all.
Sorry but I know that I would want people to tell me what they see as well.
You might get away with it in something other than that dress. Not sure.

You could tell him that you just had surgery without revealing what type it was. That way you could explain that your food choices are limited while healing.

Yes!! I thought maybe a thicker fabric and a darker color might be a lot better.

OK...I opened up this page on my laptop and yes, I now I can see a outline of the padding on the left butt cheek, closest to the left hip.

Maybe it is not the dress to be wearing it with...? (dress might be too tight, or too thin, or it could be the colour...) Can we see it in another dress or maybe in some pants/jeans?

One more thing that I thought of is the Protein bar They aren’t all created equal. Check the sugar content. My dr rule of thumb is that it needs to always have more protein than carbs. Although at 3 weeks out I was still on a soft food diet.

That sounds like dumping. Crackers and slider carbs should not be a part of your diet at this point.
I have talked to people months out that dump when eating crackers, chips, etc

It may be just because I am looking at the picture on my big home monitor but I can clearly see where the pads are and I would not want that myself. It looks nice from the side though.

Hmmm not sure but you may want to try skipping them and see if it helps. I was just watching a YouTube on a person that tried a cracker at 4 weeks and dumped. She tried again at 8 weeks and had same thing happen.
From what I have seen it seems like we all have to figure out what may cause dumping for us. What causes it for one may not for another.

I was 330lbs. I lost about 70lbs the first 6 months., I had my surgery 1/29/2019. Today 11/30/19, I was at ths doctor and I weighed in at 217.2lbs. The past month its really slowed down. If you can get in 80-100g of Protein and lots of Fluid you can lose more weight and not be so hungry. I wish you the best of luck. You got this! I shouldve taken more before pics so I could compare. Don't have very many. But this is 1p3lbs gone I think...

I'm 3+ years out and can't remember specifics, but I can tell you I'm down 150 pounds and fluctuate between 152-160 most weeks.

I am so afraid that I will have complications with rny. I did so well ( as far as complications go) with my sleeve. Afraid that I won’t be so lucky the second time around.
If I were getting reflux daily I may feel differently. It is bad when I do get it but just don’t have it very often.
  23. Thanks
Losingit2018 reacted to jdodson74 in Did mine today - by robot
Congrats on the surgery and great success to the future.
I had mine done 10/29 with robot assisted. I only had to have the medicine to prevent blood clots while I was in the hospital. They just put it into my IV. I only had one IV and I didn't experience much pain at all. Went home next day and only took pain pills for 2 days. The pain was just discomfort.

Today is my sleeve to bypass day. I was sleeved 11/12/2012, and it has been successful I lost 150lbs and kept it off (HW 364, LW 205, MW 216-221). However, the GERD has been horrible!!! Waking up aspirating into my lungs in my sleep feeling like I’m dying because I can’t catch my breath and coughing is horrible. Plus I have a hiatal hernia and developed Hypercontractile Peristalsis (Jackhammer Esophagus), SLE (gained 15 being on prednisone for a year) Sjogrens, and PMR (no one else in my family has had any of this). I love my sleeve never considered the RNY before my sleeve. However, the RNY makes me nervous it’s a nagging feeling I’ve had for awhile. My doctor is regarded as one of the top three in my state. I’ve been discussing this with him for two years. Honestly, my concerns are I don’t want anymore health problems. I guess I dunno I want relief but the feeling is still there!!! Send up some extra prayers for me. Check-in is 10am CST Surgery is at noon CST. Starting weight 235 Preop weight 241 (ate everything I could lol) CW: 227.
