  1. If this has been happening since yesterday it may not be an emergency. Not sure. But get some chewable papaya enzymes and keep them on hand for times like this. They are great at helping to digest the food. Good luck! i wouldn’t normally suggest this but are you able to make yourself bring them back up? Wouldn’t be a good thing to do very often but may help you now.
  2. Try to drink some Gatorade zero or some Powerade zero today. Call your dr in the morning. It may be a normal part of the healing process but, hard to say for sure.
  3. Hoping that all went well for you. Please update us when you are able to do so. I have not heard of this. Going to look it up now.
  4. I know that the instructions say 4 times per day but my surgeon assured me that plenty of studies have proven that taking two in the morning and two at night work very well. I am going to trust what he says.
  5. It will grow back. Biotin will strengthen the hair that you have but may not stop you from losing some. Hopefully you can maybe cut or style it to make it less noticeable? This bump in the road will be worth it in the end. Keep your eye on the prize ?
  6. My surgeon told me that the people that are the most scared tend to be the most successful with this surgery in his experience. Anytime we have to have surgery it is very scary. Try to remember that this is a very safe surgery. Research your dr to be sure that he is top notch and very experienced. Try to stay positive and think of all of the good things that will come from this surgery. Such as a much healthier you to spend many more birthdays with your daughter. You have youth on your side and should recover quickly. You got this!
  7. Sleeve to full bypass here on 11/22. No more reflux and no regrets. Losing weight pretty rapidly.
  8. That could be because you can’t eat very much at a time? My dr told me that I will feel like I am grazing in the beginning but my goal is to get to eating 3 meals and 2 healthy snacks per day. Have you tried eating low carb/ low calorie fillers? Like vegetables, salad, etc? i know that my appetite will return. When that happens my plan is to keep lots of raw veggies and a low calorie Greek yogurt veggie dip on hand at all times. I do understand what you are going through. I went through the exact same with my sleeve. Hang in there and try to devise a plan for healthy options for the rough times. Once you reach a year out, the weight will come back on quickly if we are not careful.
  9. Yes I do take biotin and use a shampoo that is supposed to block dht and prevent hair loss. I had sleeve in March 2018. Started losing hair then and never stopped losing it. Praying that I don’t lose more with this revision! i meant that I don’t have to take calcium and iron separately
  10. Yes. I am 4 weeks out from revision to rny. I saw my pa last Wednesday. She has a good sense of humor. She said the technical term for this phase in the ooey gooey phase lol it is when things inside are trying to stick to each other and settle in. It may be the same for you but still best to ask your dr.
  11. My nutritionist gave me samples of the chewable bariatric fusion tablets. I like them. Only need to take once in morning and once at night. No other vitamins required. Cost is $30 for a one month supply.
  12. Look up at my last post that is one recent one may be more ?
  13. There is a thread with the folks over 60 posting somewhere on this forum as well. here is one of them good luck!
  14. There are many members here that are over 60 and at least one over 70 that have had this surgery. Hopefully they will chime in soon.
  15. I could not agree with this more. You paid this dr and she is supposed to be working for you. I would get a second opinion for sure. Any decent dr would totally understand that. Really too bad if she doesn’t. This is your health and your life on the line.
  16. My experience was opposite. I was sleeved early 2018. Never lost my appetite with the sleeve. Hunger was a constant battle. Revised to bypass 4 weeks ago and have to force myself to eat. Never hungry and nothing tastes the same as it did pre op. I am following dr plan to the letter. If you were to go off plan and eat carbs you may find that they either make you sick or even more hungry. Possibly both. Try to increase fluid intake and stick to plan. Call your dr if you still find hunger to be troublesome. Maybe they will have some ideas for you. I can barely get a few teaspoons of dense protein in and I am stuffed. Good luck and hang in there!
  17. Yes. I had it for the first two weeks after bypass revision. Dr said this is common with rny. Told me to drink a shake or something with just a bit of sugar when I have these episodes. They seem to have stopped now though.
  18. Try the dulcolax. They are tiny little gel pills that go down very easy. Maybe the ones you have are too large and your gag reflex is kicking in.
  19. Maybe you could explain to your husband that you are too nervous after all you have been through. Ask him to be patient with you. He should understand that I would think.
  20. Sounds like it could be gas? Maybe try some gas x if it is allowed on your plan.
  21. Did you sip slowly to swallow? Have you had problems keeping food or liquid down? I have been using the teeny tiny stool softner and have had no issues with them. Dulcolax.
  22. The Bariatric Pal store here had sample packs of the syntrax nectar that I use. I would highly recommend it against any others for quality and taste.
  23. This ^^^^^^ I would never use that brand. Already see that they are dishonest.
  24. Donated mine to local non profit thrift store. All proceeds go to local men’s and women’s recovery centers as well as to the homeless in my community. I had tons and tons to donate and still have a closet full! Sadly now I have very little that fits me. I plan to wait as long as I am able to before buying more.
  25. Great! That fairlife milk can be a lifesaver. I do drink only it on days that my tummy doesn’t feel like dealing with anything else. I do whatever it takes to get my protein in.
