  1. I hate to say this but I am so glad that I am not the only one with this problem. I talked to a few people and they told me to make sure I get enough protein, take biotin but I won't see results for another 4 months - and that it is not what I am doing now that is making me lose hair but what I did for months ago... Hence my lapband was 4 months ago and I know I did not get enough protein after I had the surgery.
  2. Awesome.... 20lbs since surgery - you should be so proud of yourself. It is very common to feel little restriction before your first fill. Everyone said to me wait until your 1st fill... now I am on my third fill... 4th month and down 53lbs. I noticed that the week before my next scheduled fill is when I notice that the restriction is less and that I am ready for a fill. I asked my doctor and he said it was because as we lose weight our stomach shrinks so the band gets looser and we have less restriction. Best of luck... you are doing great.
  3. Hello everyone - this is my first post. I have been reading everyone's blogs for a while to get some encouragement and some answered questions and I finally figured I should join. I am 1 day away from my 1 month mark (banded April 9th 2008) and I am down 26lbs. The first week was awesome - I was down 18lbs but I know it was mostly Fluid. Now I am going for my 1st fill on May 19th but I am not feeling that hungry. Is that normal? I also wanted to see if anyone is having issues with bowl movements? I feel like I never have to go and I used to go at least once a day, if not more. :confused2:
