  2. Day 8. I was really hungry when i woke up but I had some double broth for breakfast with my shake and now i feel full. Since I am down 15 lbs (since I started this journey in April) my plantar fasciitis today (so far) is not painful. I also started listening to this book called Bariatric Mindset Success Live Your Best Life and Keep the Weight off After Weight Loss Surgery By: Kristin Lloyd. She also had the surgery. Good luck today everyone!

  8. Thanks. I thought 14 days was the norm ??‍♀️
  9. Day 4. First day I craved food. Catered lunch today was a taco bar [emoji849] My focus is Nov 18 so I made it through. The broth today tasted like a roasted juicy chicken lol I am tired but inside I'm pumped lol.
  10. Hey! How is your pre-op going? Your surgery is Monday! YAAY!
  11. Day 3 and still pumped. I have a headache but its manageable. I survived day 1 of my job's catered break/lunch.
  12. Im doing pre-op now and I have diarrhea. Its not raging yet but its such an inconvenience lol
  13. I am in pre-op as my surgery is also the 18th. Do not dread it the pre-op diet. Go into with grace and positive vibes and come here to vent out the frustrations!
  14. Thanks everyone. Day 1 was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I did not crave food. Day 2 may be another story as we get catered breakfast/lunch tues-th at work. Lucky for me, the food is downstairs and I am upstairs. I also have a headache today (as expected) but in all I am still pumped.
  15. OMG I have been saying NO all day. Its one person who is so annoying and persistent. I literally I had to get elevated b/c she kept trying to press me, In the end, it felt food to say no.
  16. I also started pre-op diet today. Its 330 pst and so far so good. I am now starting to get nervous and scared because this is real!
  17. OMG! Its happening. For my 14 day pre-op I can have: 1. 4 optifast shakes 2. Herb Ox bouillon cubes 3. Clear broth soup/bone broth (once a day) 4. SF Popsicle 5 SF gelatin 6. Mi0 7, decaf tea, coffee 8. Propel 0 so far so good. I am ready for this challenge. I just have to remember my goal is my surgery day 11/18! anyone else going through their pre-op fast?
  18. my surgeon says 6 months but even then it should be minimal. we also signed an agreement.
  19. Saw surgeon yesterday. Picked up pre-op diet stuff. Start it on Monday! ITS HAPPENING!
  20. im in California and have cigna. I was approved in 2 weeks. Would have been 3-days but see #1. 1. make sure the pcp sends a formal recommendation letter. this was the only thing that held me up. Cigna wanted it in a formal letter head. 2. the surgeon office confirmed the pre -stuff for me. Cigna required me to do 4 nutrition visits, psych eval, support group, formal recommendation from PCP, BMI requirements (listed in your post), co-morbidity (listed in your post). 3. my surgeon also has his own requirements
  21. I my first mammogram last year, it did not hurt. I have one Friday pre-op. I will not have one until next yr and I already know mine will be smaller. When I was thin (cannot wait to be that again). I was boob-less. My cousin would say I had acorns lol.
