  1. I have no family anywhere near me. My surgery is just over a week away. I actually found someone at work who went through this, and she has been a wonderful source of support. I have only a few close friends. The supportive ones are not nearby me. I’ve largely done all the prep alone. My hospital has a support group, but I have not not been able to make the meetings yet. There are you tubers who have channels, and there are some FB groups.
  2. I Was told I could have tea, just not too much because the caffeine acts like a diuretic and it’s a challenge to stay hydrated. I understand the hospital will bring tea to drink so I would think it would be o.k. Does your surgeon have a dietitian you can email?
  3. Yes, I am having VSG on 4/2. Starting to get very nervous. i had dinner with friends last night who did not know about my surgery plans. They we’re not very supportive. One is a nurse and was really troubled by my decision. I was up most of the night worrying. ita nice to see so someone else at the same starting point. How are you feeling?
