    Post-Op / Gas Pains

Honestly, I prefer this forum over Facebook groups. I haven't had good experiences on Facebook. Very judge-y and love to tell you crazy things like "you aren't loosing weight because you aren't smudging yourself with enough sage!" 😂 The majority of the people here are expirenced and have truly good advice.

    Post-Op / Gas Pains

I felt the same as you. I wasn't even sure if I was experiencing gas pains, in hindsight they definitely were. I felt better about a week out when the anesthesia dissapated and I could move around more. My tummy made a lot of noise too but I didn't feel hungry. I definitely wanted to eat though but was too scared, I just followed the doctor's orders and now 3 months out, I feel normal except that I can only eat very small portions of food. Good luck on your journey and be patient with yourself!
  3. I FEEL HORRIBLE today. I can feel congestion in my chest building up and I have a sore throat. I also very sleepy. I called my surgeon to ask what kinds of meds are ok and he told me it's 100% safe for me to take any medicine now that I am 3 months out. I feel seriously run down. Normally, the rare occasions that I've gotten sick, I've been ok, like able to work through it . Has anyone noticed this themselves? Any advise on taking care of myself with my new sleeve- besides fluids! Lol that's always a rule when you're sick.

How long did hair loss last for you??

Mine is definitely noticeable. I can tell I've lost quite a bit around my hairline and especially near my temples. I already have lots of baby hairs, so that's a good sign at least. As long as it keeps decreasing in the amount I'm losing, I can deal with it. The beggining was really be and scared me a lot because I really thought I was going to lose it all.
  5. Mine has been going for about a month. It seems like it's slowing. Today, my husband had to unclog my shower drain.

    Non Scale Victories

Thanks for the optimism. I can remember when I first got home from the hospital and basically the first month when I was worried the surgery didn't work. And now I have a fear that any day now I'll be done losing. I'm 30lbs till ultimate goal. And 3 lbs from my "first" goal. I set my goals in increments!

    Non Scale Victories

I'm 3 months post op. My best NSV is that I have been cleaning my Amazon shopping/ wish lists and I was able to take all of the plus sized clothed off of my wish list. I have also been blessed to have cleaned out my closet twice. Now, I'm running out of stuff to wear and am apprehensive about buying more. ❤️

    Cholesterol

No meds, the doc is going to monitor me for the next couple months to figure out if it is actually related to weight loss or truly higher cholesterol. I have no family history of it nor have I ever had it myself.

    Cholesterol

I feel like it is not feasible, with the small amount that I am able to consume in addition to making good food choices.
