    Pounds lost

I’m 3 months out gastric bypass and am down 62 lbs. Almost in the 160’s!!!!🤩🥳 went from a 2x to a medium large and from size 20 pants to a 12/14 and I lose half to a lb a day. I feel amazing! I wish all my friends here much success 😘

    It really works!

You’ll barely have an appetite after surgery. A few bites of whatever stage of food is enough sometimes. I can do a half cup of soup but only a couple bites of a solid food. I’m really only comfortable eating soups. Anything solid is painful. My dietician wants me eating every 2-3 hours. It’s really hard to eat that often when you have no appetite. Even drinking a shake is to much. It’s definitely a learning process 😆

    It really works!

It was tough to really eat much the first 2 weeks. I’ve been sticking to soups and soft stuff. If I try fish or chicken it really hurts so I guess my stomach is saying it’s just not ready yet. My dr said to listen to my body and it definitely tells me when I messed up. But I’m happy with my results so far and I keep my food options open. I use a recipe app to look for good stuff to make that I can tolerate.

    It really works!

Sure I had the gastric bypass and started at 233.
  5. I’m down 30lbs in 30 days! Just amazing. Clothes are all to big. Healing was tough I won’t lie I was in agony for a while. Eating is getting better but still struggling. Can’t eat anything more than 3 bites. Have to drink most of my protein. All I can say is hang in there it does get better and you’ll be so happy you did!

    Feeling crappy

Thank you! I have my first post op appointment on the 31st so I’ll be asking the dr then!

    I lied

I won’t lie either. After having 5 kids ranging from 21 down to 21 months my body just refuses to get back to normal. And I honestly don’t have time for me! I don’t have an hr to go to a gym to work out. And trying to take time for myself at home is damn joke! I have hbp, arthritis and am just overweight. I needed this tool to help me get back to me. I’m not going to feel bad about getting healthy for me and my family because it’s helping me be able to be around a while longer to enjoy my new self and my family. Can’t wait to get to my goal weight. And you should never care what some dim wit that has no relevance in your life has to say!!! You just do you🥰

    Arthritis/static pain

I too suffer from arthritis in random places...a toe a knee a finger just all over. My rheumatologist has me on an infusion every 8weeks called symponi aria. Best thing that ever happened to me. I used to be on an injection pen every 2 weeks called humira but it stopped working after some time plus I hated the pain of the shot!
  9. My surgery was 2/26/19 and I’m just always feeling crummy. My incisions have for the most part healed well. But I have a constant ache in my stomach. Sipping fluids hurts eating well chewed foods hurt(sometimes doesn’t stay down) both times it was a meat product. Dr said to move back to purée which i did but the pain is still a constant thing. Anyone else have this happen and how long until I feel normal again? Sometimes i regret this due to this pain.

    Weight loss

I had my surgery 2/26/19 and I’m down 21 lbs so it seems that’s pretty typical. I notice my clothes are baggy and thighs are shedding fat fast. Definitely see it in my face well. Happy losing!

    Bump

This isn’t the incision itself it’s a like a pooch that is above my big incision almost makes me think it may be my stomach that they detached that may still be swollen or something? Idk I just wanted to know if anyone else had it.

    Bump

I recently had the gastric bypass and I’ve noticed that I have bump over my large incision. Is this where they put my separated stomach? Anyone else experience this?

    Weird taste in my mouth!

Oh wow cool I didn’t know that! I’ll have to look into ketosis! Thanks. Guess everyone has an ailment after surgery.

    The dreaded gas

I too thought since I had 2 c-sec that this surgery would be a breeze.... psych! Not even close. This is so much more painful. The gas I was told is from the the dr putting gas in your body so that they can navigate your inards during surgery. It’s insane and painful. It’s even in your shoulder! But the good news is that it does pass in time. All of this pain is worth the end result. And like having a baby I believe you’ll forget how painful this was when you are back up and running. I’ve already lost over 20lbs in 11 days and that takes your mind off all the other bad stuff.
