  1. I've had the worst cravings today; it's been terrible!  I craved fried chicken, grilled chicken, a boiled egg...ANYTHING chicken that I can actually chew!  I know this is all a mental thing as I haven't been physically hungry since the surgery.  The liquids and jello just didn't satisfy the beast today.  😒

I know the feeling. I'm 2 weeks post op... I actually took a PC. Of my 6 year old daughter's chicken wing, chewed it up and then spit it into the garbage. It took the craving away and I didn't feel bad because I didn't swallow it. It was perfect. I felt the need to chew because I've been drinking liquids for a month now. I say if you attempt it, make sure you have the will power not to swallow it. (It's hard not to.. trust me)

Fried chicken will make you sick, after a while your brain will associate fried chicken with feeling sick as a dog and you will no longer crave it.

Today was much better! I pureed some potato soup and found the change enough to ease the cravings.

Kharisma, Good for you for not swallowing that nugget! lol I'd try the chewing/spitting out thing but fortunately we cleansed the house well before my surgery.

Gsleeve2010, I know you're right and I look forward to retraining my brain. I won't give in to my unhealthy head cravings but they sure are a bear to deal with!
