  1. Gottajustdoit: you absolutely nailed it . I’m having the exact same regrets and feeling of loss. Same day surgery as you and I sat with a bowl of my favourite chow mein in front of me all day Sunday just trying to take more than 2 bites of it at any given time. Feels like a huge loss at this point for sure
  2. I don’t think we’re allowed to have fresh veggies at this point (29 days) only well cooked
  3. I totally get the frustration. I’ve been feeling a lot of that lately and a side helping of regret. Chicken is an absolute NO NO for me it never goes down easy
  4. I was having the same problem with overeating so I am limiting myself to 3 tablespoons of WHATEVER I’m eating at any given time before I pause 15 mins and then I’ll have two tablespoons etc until my portion (3/4 cup or 1 cup) is gone . Seems to be working for me with soups and cottage cheese etc
  5. I notice the same thing, I can put down 3x as much during dinner than I can in the AM
  6. Yep it’s always that last bite and then it feels stuck so instinctively I take a small sip of water and then it’s a foam party in my mouth for about an hour
  7. Sometimes I feel like I’m just eating too much but with the pre op diet and the liquid diet after I’m just craving tasting everything again.... on a much smaller scale
  8. I’ve been eating foods for the last week just chewing really well . Purée food was disgusting
  9. Weeks 1-3 lost 28 lbs this last week only lost 1lb. I think it’s pretty standard
  10. Great attitude REC... wishing you all the best
  11. Way to go Emz! I’m noticing steady weight loss but no real change in clothes :/
  12. Mousecat, did you have sleeve or bypass
  13. Me too marine , probably only going to do half days this week
  14. I’m finding I can eat almost double the suggested amounts without pain. Still staying under 800 calories
  15. All programs are different and I think that’s why these forums are so helpful. I am 19 days post op and successfully had a 1/2 glass of wine last night in very small sips over the course of about 1.5 hours. No problems or trouble today. Two bites of Tim hortons chilli on the way home last night chewed up to the max. Live your life
  16. I’ve been adding tobasco to cottage cheese and small dabs of siracha to my miso soup
  17. I’ve chewed up a couple things and spit them into the trash as well I think that’s a completely normal compromise for the first month. I have been getting a 2km walk in every day but unable to sleep longer than 2-3 hours a night.. I feel like I could eat anything and I have my wife’s birthday tonight I’ll be trying 1/4 cup of wine
  18. Thanks Starr nice to know I’m not alone in this semi reclined hell?
  19. I was on the tramadol early and decided I didn’t need it day 2/3 and boy did I regret it. I went through my tramadol and have just now gotten off Tylenol round about day 11. Let me know how it goes !
  20. That’s great jodster, I have lost almost exactly 1 lbs per day pretty consistently and I just keep eating the same diet ! Hoping nothing changes ??
  21. Jodster: how much weight loss were you expecting lol... over a pound a day for the first 9 days is A LOT.
  22. These are all really good pieces of advice
  23. Ganna: I put half a scoop of chocolate powder into two tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt
  24. For those of us 2 weeks post op or more, how is everyone sleeping at night ? I can’t make it longer than 2-3 hours lying down without having to get up and move to a completely elevated position. All the while the sharp pains taking over the left side until I’m in a semi reclined spot (then pain is 100% gone).
