  1. I spent the weekend away as well with no scale. Played golf Saturday, baseball and basketball today, diet was so so but got home to the scale and only .5lbs loss! The scale doesn’t care what you do it’s gonna drop about 3 lbs on a random Tuesday when you just had a little cheat ;) keep your head up
  2. PLEASE let us know what the answers to those questions were! It’s like you read my mind
  3. Of course! Everyone has their own methods and I’ve just been seeing consistent progress on most mornings when I weigh myself first thing! It’s either a confidence boost to start the day or a way to kind of get myself in check for the meal plan ahead.. keep up all the good work and thanks everyone for listening
  4. I’ll do whatever I’m comfortable with but thanks
  5. 317lbs on Wednesday morning, 313 on Thursday and 315 today.. so basically no
  6. It must be dehydration after I had a couple glasses of wine on Wednesday after my terrible day I was using the bathroom OFTEN. The next morning I lost 3.5 lbs from the day before.
  7. Anna: we all gotta live life and as long as can keep it in moderation I don’t see the problem. Everyone has just come out of a major invasive surgery and *for the most part, recovered and that is something to celebrate. I had two glasses of wine last night and woke up to a 3.5 lbs weight loss from yesterday morning to today ?‍♀️
  8. I was feeling fat tonight as well after seeing a 2 lbs weight gain on the scale but I just got in the tub with a glass of Shiraz and remember how much more ROOM there is in here
  9. Thanks Sheri , hope you didn’t have the same exposé I did today ?
  10. My boss tried to buy beer to smooth it over but of course WE CANT HAVE THAT
  11. Had an absolute melt down at work today. I chose not to tell anyone except my mom and my wife about my surgery. Explained to my work I was having some digestive issues where they would have to re route a portion of my stomach and small intestine. Fast forward 6 weeks and 30 lbs lost and one of the older guys makes an offhand comment about me getting lap band surgery and I was dead silent. A couple minutes go by and I decided to erupt like mt Vesuvius. My reaction probably told everyone all they need to know and yes I regret it but I just didn’t know what else to do.
  12. Love that someone else is found spice crazy as well!
  13. Has anyone heard anything bad regarding something like salmon or tuna sashimi? It’s my 6 weeks tomorrow I thought I might have a couple pieces while the family got the good stuff !
  14. I’ve been finding the same with alcohol I have been kind of excited to have a drink but after one or at most two I’m kinda over it , not getting the same type of feeling either
  15. Thanks everyone reading these really help everyday and I don’t mean to drag anyone down and I shouldn’t sneeze at the total success I’ve had compared to many. I have had a glass of wine or two a couple times on this post surgery journey , mainly on a Saturday night but I have definitely not gone back to 8 beers and a couple whiskeys as was my old routine.

  17. Living in Canada the government pays for a very low number of these surgery’s a year (in my province) and we don’t have any mandated group meetings or support groups post surgery so I’d like to thank you all for being open and honest and always around to bounce questions and ideas off of. Still regretting this decision, 40 days and 32lbs later. I played ice hockey for the first time yesterday and couldn’t have the beer in the dressing room after, couldn’t go upstairs and enjoy the wings and pizza with the guys. Tried to hang around as long as possible but ended up coming home to some chunky soup. I feel as though I should’ve been better prepared for this major decision and hope I can get out in the future and just make others aware that they may be giving up a lot more than they bargained for
  18. For those of you plateauing keep on the program, I went from 320 last Friday to 322 Tuesday to 318 today all in the span of a week... keep drinking water water water
  19. Yea ganna for the first time I saw a gain of 2lbs. I feel like I can eat a lot more than I should. I’m on a full bypass and I am able to eat a full cup of chunky soup or chilli without a problem
  20. First time in 5 weeks I’ve stepped on the scale in the morning to see a jump of 2lbs on the scale
  21. Weigh yourself in the morning ?
  22. They say it’s like losing a good friend who is always there for you. Sounds very accurate to me. The way we tie in all our big social events with food doesn’t help either. Going out for dinner with friends just isn’t the same
