  1. It can be all of those problems or it could also be constipation. I’ve never been blessed with regularity in that department but if it’s been a bit it can cause horrible lower back pain.
  2. I am currently in remission as of my last A1C last week, which was a 6 ?????? Severe neuropathy, kidney function issues and just everything else that goes along with being a diabetic we’re my main reasons for surgery . I was on Metformin twice a day and had graduated from insulin to Trulicity. I stopped all meds prior to surgery and never had to go back. The first time I saw a reading under 100 I think I was just as excited as I will be when I hit onderland! The stats above about DS I think are valid and I would look into them. I had VSG and hallelujah, was one of the lucky ones
  3. Sounds like a perfect analogy!! There’s days I want to throttle him but I never regret my decision. ?
  4. You’ve look and have done amazing?????? . Thank you for including your meal plan. That is very helpful. Keep up the great work gorgeous lady ?
  5. How exciting @GradyCat !!! And I never got a hint of your frustrations in your posts!! You are one of the most encouraging and uplifting posters on here! I am SO happy for you ??????
  6. Congratulations for being on the other side !!! I’m glad all went well. That thirst afterwards ??‍♀️ But they let me suck on ice cubes as much as I wanted. Good luck on being discharged soon and on the rest of your recovery. A small pillow will be your friend of you sneeze, cough or laugh. I also found having a chair (I used my dining room chairs with arms) next to where I was sitting/laying helped to push me up to a standing position. Again, congratulations!!
  7. I’m so happy for you!!! CONGRATULATIONS ???????
  8. I would speak to your surgeon about your results. If anything it would seem like MORE of a reason to approve you as long as your healthy enough for the procedure itself .
  9. My 5 happy things 1) my family 2) nature (especially being anywhere I can hear water whether it’s at a beach, a dock or even a babbling creek) 3) art 4) music 5) gardening (and flower arranging as a side note to that)
  10. Congratulations Paula!!! That’s fantastic ??????
  11. I love them as well!! I REALLY appreciate you doing it! I know it can’t always be easy ?
  12. Mine didn’t pick up until week 5(ish). Hang in there, eventually your body will figure it out and let go of those fat cells it’s trying to hold onto ??
  13. Get a cool cup to put the carton in or an ozark trail tumbler that will keep it cold for a long time ??
  14. Awesome!! The time with both drag and fly by ?
  15. Too funny about tape! The one I ordered that was just sleeves rolled down some at the top and made it very uncomfortable. This is the one I ordered although I do wish it was 3/4 sleeve . And could they have found a skinnier model?!! ??‍♀️ SlimMe Reach Arm Slimming Sleeve Shaper - Women's Shapewear Nude Shapewear Small https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EDSXEE4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_c1mWCbPHTK2F7
  16. 24) be creative. I have a rare few hours completely to myself. I haven’t decided how I’m going to use it yet. I might be totally creative or totally decadent and take a nap on this rainy day. Could go either way folks ?
  17. “Rock like a geologist”!!! I LOVE that!!! Way to go! You can DO THIS ??????
  18. It’s amazing how once we start giving these bodies the high quality fuel they deserve they balk at the crap we used to feed them on a consistent basis. I made one of families favorite potatoe recipes for Easter and thought I’d try just a “bit” at dinner last night . I was feeling awful the rest of the night . Full on case of the foamies and that’s only the 2nd time that’s happened to me. First time was right after back on full foods and I over did it . I agree, it didn’t taste near as good as I built it up in my head and no where near the price I paid .
  19. Congratulations @Screwballski !! You’ve done an amazing job! You look healthy, fit and happy ??????
  20. Good luck with the surgeons visit. I was never told how many ounces I could have in the very beginning. My surgeon told me try one bite at a time and listen to the cues that I’ve had enough. It’s tough in the beginning to recognize those cues because it’s totally different post op. Any feeling of pressure, a hiccup, burping sometimes even a sneeze are all signs to stop. You’ll be able to build up to ounces but I wasn’t expected (or even capable) of achieving that at first. Again, best of luck ??
  21. Yes , take full advantage of this honeymoon phase. Follow your surgeons plan. It’s not always the easiest but it IS the best and you will NEVER get this opportunity window back. Once the honeymoon is over, it’s OVER. My friends brother told her something that is pretty profound and I use it often now. Paraphrasing but, “ losing weight is hard. Being fat is hard. Pick your hard” Good luck!! It IS hard but use this time wisely. And I totally agree, you GOT this ??
  22. Congratulations @ms.sss!!! You’re an inspiration for sure !! I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to have the bat wing surgery as well. I still have not lost much in my arms *impatiently waiting!!* Are you using any shaper wear? I found one I like but not sure how tolerable it will be once the summer temps heat up
  23. Yes! I was the same way! I had mine yesterday. The first few days to a week are rough! Take it slow, follow your surgeons plan (most likely sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk) and give your bodies time to heal . You’ve been through a lot but it’s SO worth it!! Congratulations and welcome to the Losers Bench ??????
  24. I haven’t seen my brother in a month or so and he was shocked when he saw me at Easter. He said I look like a totally different person. I just hit that 50 lb mark since the first of the year and other people are starting to notice
