Scheduled for 2/19! For those of you who had surgery this month, how are you feeling now? I am supposed to chaperone a field trip 2 weeks after surgery and I want to make sure it's feasible for me to sit on a bus with 60 2nd graders for 2 hours. [emoji23]

I felt ok yesterday no gas pains but I was nauseous and throwing up blood from the surgery... it wasn’t painful just annoying because I had to stay until I was able keep liquids down which wasnt until around 430pmOn 02/14/2019 at 08:02, RiaR said:

Good luck, Big Bari! I'm on day three. NOT easy, for sure, as you try to come up with a variety of things to take but the variety doesn't last long. I am up to 4 to 6 Protein Shakes a day and strained Progresso Soup. They are my go-tos. I was also told I should have at least 700 calories a day---but not sure how to find them as the liquid options are not rich in calories. Please share your ideas!

liquid diet starts tomorrow...wish me luck. I ate a big juicy steak last night as a farewell fat boy meal lol

For those of you on your pre-op diet, hang in there! I start all clears on Sunday. I spent an hour walking through the aisles of Wegman's (a local grocery store) today looking for interesting things to have at home. My cart was full on very boring items! I am trying a variety of flavored waters, Mio drops, Crystal Light Energy (for must-have caffeine), Jell-O, and Protein Shakes. My nutritionist said I could strain regular Soups (ex: Progresso) so I'll do that since I'll be saving the Unjury chicken broth until after surgery. Who's up first for surgery this month?
I am on the 13th too. woohoo .I'm going to the grocery store today to prepare myself I start liquids on the 6th.

Hi I’m on my b1 and B12 Vitamins now and I start my preop diet February 6th...I’m kinda dreading it but excited to start the journey...my surgery date is February 13th not sure when I’ll get my other vitaminsOn 02/01/2019 at 12:50, 2Bsmaller18 said:
How is everyone preparing? Do you already have your Vitamins purchased? I go to a preop diet meeting that is 1 week before surgery so I won't have a lot of time to get what I need. I know I will not be required to do any preop diet so I am just worried about the after surgery stuff.

My surgery is February 13th and I took off for 12 days and plan on going back on a Wednesday like earlier suggested. I work in Police/fire dispatch so not necessarily a desk job but not really physically taxing either...good luck!
