I followed this recipe but used 1Tbsp vanilla instead of the other extracts and flavorings, swapped 1/2 cup of flour for cocoa powder, added 3Tbsp of Water (as the dough was crumbly for my climate) and folded/kneaded in 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips to half the dough (I split it to make 2 kinds of cookies). The recipe makes a LOT of Cookies (5 dozen!) if using a small cookie scoop.
I also used the same recipe with the 1tbsp vanilla swap and 3Tbsp Water to make the blossoms, wreaths and the peppermint hot chocolate Cookies. (Multi purpose for the win!)
You could easily swap the sugar in this for a sugar substitute as well.

We ventured out to Atl Nov. 11th to see The Rolling Stones.... OMG it was amazing. We were scheduled to go a couple of years ago, but it was postponed due to a Hurricane.... Then Covid, so we didn't get to go. This time the Mr. made it happen. We flew to ATL for the night and flew back the next day.
He has been online shopping and I told him he needs to stop.... (but not really). He bought this little "ribbed" number and i saw that you all posted your ribbed dresses..... so here's mine. I couldn't get a good shot of dress and boots so they are separate. The boots were bought a few years ago when we first started dating and they fit so much nicer now. The boots are black, don't know why they look gray.
Looking stunning in rib dress and boots! Heals especially sexy. Concert looks amazing!!! So glad you were finally able to attend. With new spikes - we decided not to attend a David Foster concert tonight. This was going to be my outfit. Just kidding! These are doll clothes my seamstress crafts and sells. They are just adorable. Are you a red head now? Send a better glimpse?!

LOVE IT! Not letting any cold weather stop our Canadian bathing beauty... Looking FAB in your bikini!!!! Here's my 27 degree outfit this morning - not as brave as you!

Challenge issued.
Outfit for our Christmas party last week!

it was actually kinda too sweet for me, but I haven’t eaten all day and I was pretty hungry. Ate enough to get rid of the “hungries”…am way behind on my grocery shopping these days so this is the best I could do. It was either this or Cookies or chips!
I am finding my sweet tooth coming back like a vengeance after December surgery 2018. I'm definitely a Cookie Monster and love chips, too! Made homemade thinned sliced potatoes in 450 degree oven to satisfy craving without the salt, oil and preservatives. It must be the holiday season abundance of the treat mentality or new cool climate? And, if I take just a few bites to sample - it does not satisfy until I eat the whole piece of cake. Need to nip this in the bud. This is a good idea. Cereal. Try to reach out for a Protein with fibers + fruit. Any other suggestions that have helped you or anyone else?! Finding this holiday season especially challenging with too many indulgences... Oh boy. I can resist pecan pie. Just not a favorite. But any fruit pie, doughnut, breads, pastry, cake or chocolate LOOK OUT!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our fashion forward friends in country and out! I am so very grateful for a platform of like-kind individuals that uniquely know and understand our journey from nutrition to clothing! My best to you and yours today, and always. My warm and cozy outfit for Thanksgiving dinner out this afternoon. I loved the unique horizontal channel stitching vs. normal vertical styles. And, a cropped sweater for us shorties! Yay. Haha.

I really don’t understand my thinking sometimes. 🤷🏻♀️ Some I still had as I didn’t wear them last summer. I have too many shoes. Anyway contacted the lady who sold some of my shoes last summer & hope she’s willing to take these. Maybe I’ll get something back to go towards the new shoes I’ve bought. Tee hee!
I LOVE your shoes!!! Your style impeccable. I went from a size 8 to 7. Almost completed the replacement project. Boots have been really fun to add to the wardrobe. Any new boots lately? Do model! You, too, ladies!

I can’t even go down open refrigeration aisles in grocery stores 🥶Greenville's pretty chilly, too. Come a little northwest to visit me! Let's go shopping for coats?! I think I'll need one here - not just layers like in Florida.

Last night I had a gala to go to and was the first event I could dress up since COVID. I’m no going to lie, I felt quit self conscious about my arms due to the flappy excess skin but I got over myself after the first 5 minutes and enjoyed the night!!
Yay! A chance to finally go out! You look so pretty in that red dress! Love the neckline, shoes and toe polish... And, your arms look just fine. I conceal very bad bat wings - but do hope to get arm surgery when things settle down with COVID and our recent move.

The haydari (strained yogurt dip) and the vegetable stew were delicious but the Star of the show was definitely the keskul (rice and almond pudding) for dessert. I ended up eating most of it even though I was pretty full already. I did not take the leftover flatbreads or the rice home.

Generally struggle with oily fish like salmon but dip it raw in soy sauce & it’s delicious. Was about 70g of salmon. Had to revert to using a fork though - the numb spots on my thumb made using chop sticks too challenging.
Then for a retro treat: apricot chicken . Hello 70s/80s. My fabulous butcher had apricot lovely legs & I just had to have them. Not as sticky & sweet as I remembered fortunately (remember cooking them in a tin of apricot nectar? ) & I heated some diced apricots as a quick salsa like sauce. Will add some fresh ginger to the apricots I think tonight for a bit of zing. Wish I had some fresh coriander but … Oh well next time.
Hey @Sophie7713, everything looks delicious but what’s the top white bean dish?
Oh I want a bite of that apricot chicken. Yum! And, those green veggies. To bowl is great northern bean Soup made with carrots, onions,

No, i don't think it looks silly at all, only after you point it out, it just looks like you are wearing tights. If you don't like the tights look, maybe you can just put on a pair of ankle socks over them and it will look like leggings. But either way you look grrrrrr-eat.
Where did you get it????
Thanks! They are by Antonio Melani at Dillards regularly $140 on sale size small for $30! I really liked the window pane trims - and they feel really good on. Thanks for sending the dress details. Soooo pretty with sequins. You will SPARKLE bedazzling all! Hoping you will get to wear it for this winter event - but it sounds like you are holding everything lightly in hand. I was always a planner - unsettling when things we look so forward to disintegrate amidst Covid. Striving to stay positive but realistic. Fingers crossed!

This is such a wonderful phase and opportunity to change the relationship with foods and portion discipline that got most of us in trouble previous to surgery. Here are some dishes I looked forward to mid-way during weight loss phase. i.e. Fresh homemade egg salad, soft fruits, bean dishes that satisfied. First it was a few bites, then ½ a cup graduating to ¾ cup to one cup. Now I am maintaining with approximately 1 ½ cups... Your tummy will gradually adjust, digest more effectively and tell you how much you need to sustain. Go with the flow in selecting healthy clean foods throughout the process AND your rewards will be spectacular!!! This I can promise... And, yes, the Protein Shake regime were like Redundant and Yuck - keeping bowels challenging BUT this too shall pass. You have so much to look forward, too!!!

I have a relatively fancy party coming up in the January and I couldn't resist adding yet another option to my slew of options I already have to wear. Help. Me.
Oh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE you in this dress!!! Can you send a better details of it!? Shoes, too? Your picture program comes out blurry on my desk top. ;[ The lace and sheer are exquisite. Want to see... All eyes will be on you! Just stunning, ms.sss. Will you need to wear a mask come January?

My mum made me a shirred top & shirred bodice dress for me when I was about 10 which I’ve never forgotten. Amusingly many designers have made the exact same shirred bodice dress in the last 12 months. Fashion does go around even if it takes 40yrs. Actually the dress would probably almost fit me again if I still had it. 😆

All the trousers that are loo long, sleeves drooping over my fingers & looking swamped in dresses & jackets. Sigh.
Fellow short girl problems here, too! Haha. Welcome to Shrimpsville! Casual, warm, comfy (bottoms really work like support stockings for the bad knee and leg circulation issues) for errands and house site yesterday. Love the pockets! And, of course, they are much too long... so just wrapped them into the sneaker. It's exhausting to always be going to the seamstress for alterations! And, these were on a great sale - I wanted them to remain a bargain without additional alteration costs! Look too silly???
