Spring has definitely sprung because GT is wearing her pastels! Ahhhh...powder blue - one of my favorite colors to wear and decorate with...

  2. Nothing tooooooo exciting here on the clothes front - Just a new lined rain coat (the lighter one from Florida was not holding up to the two weeks of rain, chill and overcast trip in central Pennsylvania + Philadelphia over Easter vacation. AND, Ms.sss, were you slender in your original wedding gown? Let's see a pic? I think a vow renewal for the new you would be WONDERFUL! This was chubby (size 14) me back in 1994. Oh well. ;[

My favourite clothing store was having an up to 70% off warehouse sale. I was invited to a preview yesterday & picked up these two pieces: 71% off the cardigan & 65% off the leather skirt. Now don’t be shocked… they’re both colour. Even going to wear them as a complete outfit as one of the embroidered flowers on the cardigan is the same claret colour of the skirt. Can’t wait for the weather to cool so I can wear them.

  8. Nice to see some new participants and food posts regardless of stage! So glad you've joined in... Baked some turkey thighs Sunday - Enjoying the dark (my favorite) meat on salads this week. Trying to get away from the sodium in luncheon meats. Even low sodium white turkey breast brands seem too salty for me. Definitely more convenient, but trying to put in the effort! Haha. Marinated turkey in juice from naval orange, olive oil, sage, rosemary and thyme with a handful of cranberries. This salad makes two meals.

I went to a restaurant today with my family. They ordered a delicious pizza and this was my take from it lol I'm 19 days post op. In pureed and can have some well cooked vegetables. A little red pepper, smoked cauliflower, and a little piece of feta cheese. Delicious, got a little bit of the taste in my mouth and perfectly happy! 20220305_155945.jpg 20220305_160519.jpg

Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app

An idea for a future stage (it took me three years before having pizza again) - I really like to garnish up California Pizza Kitchen brand cauliflower thin crust from grocers. It's really delish when you add some fresh tomatoes, green peppers, onions and parma cheese. We bake it extra brown for easy digestion. A moderate and satisfying portion size, too. We no longer order pizza out... just too heavy with too many hidden ingredients in crust and toppings. BUT love an occasional pizza treat once every 6 weeks! That pie looks soooo good!

  10. Happy Spring! Spring has sprung here... Thought I'd try out my new white jeans purchased but never worn after two years of a Covid dormant closet! Anyone else feeling like white lifts your spirits and lightens the soul?

  11. Really value and appreciate what each of you have said here. Thank you for your perspectives! I balance and evaluate the nutrition, how clothing fits/the mirror and how I feel. I, too, could not maintain the lowest weight at 113. Unrealistic. I was too gaunt. Then, it was 118. Then, 122. I feel my best at 125 pounds. Very realistic. However, when it began to creep up to 130 this winter (adjusting to a new climate) - that was unacceptable! Sooooo a combination of re-grouping my strategy, getting back to a regular routine after many major life changes along with intermittent fasting - this week, I'm at 128. I do look forward to working on the remaining 3 pounds by the end of the month. I know this is not the fashion post - but I believe it is good to remind ourselves, like Silly Kitty said - the mirror speaks volumes. Another very important tool to our health and well being. We all know some fluctuations are normal. But aren't you glad our conversation with ourselves has changed? And, we do care now. Not obsess, just vigilant. I went for years before my sleeve tool - once allowing my weight to pile on and upwards to 298! I am so proud of all of us that we can dialogue and have this honest conversation. This week at 128. I never dreamed I'd ever wear stretch pants, wear tall slender boots and a belted jacket... It just spurs me on to reach my 125 goal in a healthful and satisfying manner. Red cabbage and date salad tonight.

    Yes, I’m home ALL. THE.TIME. 😂

I’ve never really though about setting an alarm now (unlike during weight loss phase when my alarm was always going off for some reason or other: to remind myself self to take a bite of food, drink some Water, get up and move, etc). Other than being shocked at how hungry I am all of a sudden some days, I don’t seem to have any negative physical nor mental issues on the days I forget. So I just go with the flow.

I do notice though that the days I forget to eat are the days I am out and about. Conversely, on the days I am living my best couch potato life, I almost always eat more…as well as more junk.

P.S. haven’t seen much of you on here lately (actually there are lots of folks during “our time” that have been MIA for a while. How are you??

I seem to have the opposite problem lately. When I am home - I feel like I'm in a more controlled environment. All the drinks are prepared and made a head of time, Vitamins on the counter, healthy choices in the refrigerator. It's when I go out that I can get in trouble... Very little I eat out satisfies me anymore (just too much oil, butter, salt, sugar, fried, powder sugar dusted even on chicken - over embellished dishes even when you ask them to leave off the salt!) So easily detected, now that I have been pretty clean for three years now - So, I end up not eating anything and crave a dessert or treat on the menu to compensate. Florida dining definitely had better choices out than here in South Carolina. We have really scaled back on eating out here. ;[

OMG - you ladies are killing me! I just made a dull beef veggie Soup that hardly compares to any of these golden pocket beauties!!! I'm dying for a bite. I dropped 3 pounds (probably salt and sugar weight) since fasting 2 meals a day since last post. I plan to continue through the weekend.

  14. dinner tonight. Ate two slices of the grilled rib eye steak and all the veggies. I am fasting two meals a day, Breakfast and lunch - eating only dinner to help drop a few pounds. Clothes are not tight - so it maybe just carrying a lot of fluids. Chemicals off. A few pounds are from some treats I did splurge upon. Of course, drinking 80 oz. of liquids - Water, Isopure, hot Decaf tea, propel... Want to feel light on my feet and agile for upcoming business trip end of month. Anyone want to join or track with me - if you have gained a few? Just message me. ;]

Not a food before & after more of a no food issue. The shelves are bare at the supermarket again this week & I’m really struggling to find the products I buy regularly that form a big part of my eating regime. Been having to make some poor food choices: processed foods & not the raw ingredients I prefer to buy. Calories are increasing & I’m struggling to meet my Protein goal.

It’s not a hoarding issue as such here in Australia at the moment, it’s a supply chain problem. No workers, no transport drivers, no logistics handlers, etc. (Damn all those young people who had to go out en masse to Celebrate Christmas & New Year, got sick then infected their families, friends & co workers.) So even if a company has some staff & can produce produce a reduced volume of goods, they’re struggling to get it transported to the grocery store distribution centres & then to the actually stores.

Last week & again this week I couldn’t buy rolled oats, lactose free milk, high Protein yoghurt, chicken tenders, prawns, Protein Bars, tinned mixed Beans, Water, etc. plus not as urgently washing powder & toilet paper. Of course there seemed to be pallets of coke & chips. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I even went to a couple of different stores to see what I could find.

It had been occurring for a couple of months on random items but the last fortnight has been terrible. They’re saying this could continue for another month.

I said to the checkout girl that this must be what it was like in Russia back in the 70s & 80s when they had to line up for bread & other essentials. She looked at me blankly but she was barely 18. 😉

I think we need to send a care package your way!!! I'd die without my oatmeal. Seriously though, I am not making light of the seriousness of your situation. And, I am serious - I can send over Protein Bars, toilet paper, etc. What brands do you prefer? Does Amazon prime serve your area? This is where we get large amounts of paper goods, just in case. Here we have most major grocery chains - some shelves appear bare - bought canned Beans + other chili fixings that seemed to be in stock. Took a chuck roast and asked butcher if he'd grind it for chili. He did. Are you able to get nuts, eggs, etc? When turkey was sparse - I'd add boiled eggs to my salads. I've allowed some junk and processed food into the diet - and am not happy with myself. Plan to enlist intermittent fasting and premier shakes back into plan to get things back under control. So many major changes, and a sense of not feeling settled along with covid always looming... add to the mix. I do not wish to reach for a sweet treat to medicate. Toying with five extra pounds right now. I hear you!

Defrosted one of my frozen meals last night. Truely a mystery meal. Couldn’t remember what it was & hadn’t written on the bag. Turned out to be ginger pork tenderloin stir fry. Looks a bit sad but was zingy with ginger. Looks more but it was about 1.5 cups which I ate over an hour.
