2 years out and I can still forget to eat sometimes! It’s almost 4pm, and while I dont really feel hungry, I put this salad together to get something in my tummy so I am not ravenous when I finally do feel hungry and overeat/eat too fast.

chicken, shredded cabbage, carrots, cucumbers and vinaigrette: 158 calories.

Didn’t enjoy this salad as much as I normally do cuz it just felt like work to eat it. Will try again with the leftovers later.

I have those days, too, when I am not very hungry AND occasionally where I feel like a bottomless pit! Haha. I think that's just the ebb and flow for most people whether WLS or regular folks. I enjoy cottage cheese and fruit, egg salad lettuce wrap or banana wheels with fresh ground peanut or almond butter on those type days. Maybe the dense chicken and veggie roughage were just too heavy leaving you an exhausted tummy. Good you ate though. ;]

    Ok, I’ll play!

We are still negotiating whether or not to put up our tree this year cuz its huge and takes alot of work....but we are leaning towards NO...just gotta get the Kid on board with this idea.

Anyhoo, for OOTD, xmas tree edition, here is a pic of the thing last year. It’s basically decorated with a whole bunch of stuffed animals the Kid accumulated over the years, lol.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!! Love it. Love it. Love it. Wow. So creative...

cheese Stuffed, Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf with homemade Keto ketchup (BFF made the ketchup for me and it tastes just like ketchup - actually better!)

One slice (as shown) is 301 calories. I had a whole slice, with about 1 tsp of the Keto ketchup (I have no idea what the caloric count of this is, so I'm just going to guess maybe 15 cals per tsp).

This meatloaf was crazy filling and I probably ate too much as I am uncomfortably full. Was very yum though!

This is the prettiest meatloaf I've ever seen! Leave it to our resident chef. Bet it tasted heavenly. Now I need to make one... Looks great for leftovers, too.

I can hook you girls up any time you’re down this side of the equator. 😁

What suburb did you live in when you were in Brissy Ms.SSS? That view across the river with the city cat looks very familiar.

I’ve decided not to put up my Christmas tree this year. I know. Sigh. It’s just so much work - before & after. But I will gather my nieces & nephews to put up mum’s tree. I think she & I will be hosting Christmas there this year.

What a beautiful tree! The rug is really cool. Will you serve dinner at the family gathering? I was actually putting up my small pencil tree today because it is less work! Or so I thought... Haha. Let's all share our Christmas trees all dressed up since most of us are not. This was our miniature tree a few years ago.

  5. Made hubby some authentic Cuban sandwiches this past weekend. While I've not wanted to reintroduce bread back into my meal plans post WLS (breads, flour based Desserts and pastas were my culprits pre WLS) - I used the same yummy ingredients of thinly sliced lean low salt ham, pork (left over from pork roast), fresh dills, Swiss cheese, mustard - And, substituted bread for leftover Protein pancakes (egg and cottage cheese) grilled + pressed with Iron skillet. The primitive way instead of a sandwiche press! Haha.

It’s cold, sleety and windy today. Beef stew was the perfect dinner and the house smells great! Was only 325 calories to boot.

That looks delicious CB. Did you make it in the instant pot, stove or crock pot? What cut of beef? I love mashed potatoes and gravy. Hot roast beef sandwiches were all the rage in central Pennsylvania!

I'm very much like you in regards to weight fluctuation and maintenance. I Celebrate 2 years out next month. I can settle at 113 up to 118 pounds depending upon bowel movements, Water intake, exercise and just daily normal movement or lack thereof. I've noticed if I eat out even ordering healthy choices, and asking they leave of excess salt, fat or sugar - you know there is still hidden ingredients that will show up on the scale. I also note if I do not drink 80 oz. or over per day or forget a Vitamin - I'll fluctuate. I do not count calories, but keep a daily log of three meals a day. I don't snack. I weigh every morning to monitor not out of obsession, but to remain vigilant of any drastic changes or upward spikes. I enlist intermittent fasting, and always feel great after doing so. It is interesting to read here t

I tried going with a smaller window a long time ago but found that in maintenance that my weight can fluctuate up and down 2-3 lbs from day to day (during weight loss phase it was ounces). One big meal close to bedtime and i’m up 2lbs the next morning. One giant poop after a 3-day backup and I’ll lose 3 lbs.

The bigger window/spread is for my sanity, lol

I also like to do averages over time for the same reason.

Woodworking sounds fun...have u run out of things to restore?

@BayougirlMrsS : the green dress is super flattering on you. Your. Boobs.

@sarahSingh91 : pretty lady, looking FIT.

@JAKE H : mighty fine, J. Your muscle definition is now showing through your shirts. LOL.

@Sophie7713 : congrats on the WIN!. The place turned out great! I particularly like the tile you chose for the tub/shower walls. I can't zoom in close enough, but is the kitchen backsplash tile textured/raised? Or is that just an optical illusion? I'm looking to change the backsplash tile in our kitchen...when I first chose it, I thought it was clear/white...but when it was put up its giving off a blue hue. Drives me nuts.

Also, love the airplane seat shot...if I ever stop being lazy, I should start an thread about that, LOL.

Here's mine. It was taken last summer (haven't been on a plane for like FOREVER. Sigh. Eff you Covid.). Prior to weight loss, my thighs would be digging into the arm rests, and my upper arm would spill over to my neighbours "air space" if I wasn't mindful.

Thank you, ms.sss for your congratulations! The shower is a combo of porcelain vertical wavy embossed tiles. Corners are in appointed circular tiles to mimic soap bubbles in clear, frosted and solid white glass finishes. The stove/hood back wall is easy to clean glass panel with painted white back. The kitchen backsplash is solid white marble cut into what I call "sugar cubes". They were staggered as per my design - as if someone were on the other side pushing them out! Haha. The tile installer had a good time installing them! ;]

Yay! And, look at all your extra belt!!! Wasn't that a great feeling with ample room side to side post WLS!? You go girl... with that adorable little figure and waistline. I do remember feeling very conscious about my bulk, and the person seated next to me. I had to uncomfortably fold my arms across my chest the entire flight to keep from spilling over. AND, my front rolls were so prominent - the folding table would never drop completely down. It would rest on my stomach. Embarrassing! I was unable to implement the table test because they had absolutely no beverage or snack service because of Eff covid. Hang in there... You'll be flying those friendly skies before you know it. Maybe us skinny mini's should treat ourselves to a really fantastic getaway together when normalcy returns. Where should we go? Maybe meet Arabesque in Brisbane? What fun!

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's that handsome gentleman tried and true? The mirror replies, why that is Jake who has transformed through dedication, determination and destined to change the course of his life. A very impressive reflection, indeed!

  11. Happy Monday everyone! Our American Society of Interior Designers - design awards for excellence were held virtually this past Friday evening (a first!) as covid rages on in Philadelphia. ;[ We decided to dress up even though none would see us. This new dress for the event in May, then, October both cancelled had never been worn since shut down in March after picking up from seamstress. Thought you might enjoy Compact Living for 1,000 square feet and under category - my project that took 1st place that evening. A few before and after photos for bachelorette client condo renovation who is an international pilot based here, but originally from Spain. Her grandfather was a matador. Acquired and placed this colorful painting in his honor - And, as my design inspiration for her residence... Fun!

  12. So excited to report that on my recent flights north for business - NO MORE SELT BELT EXTENDERS! I had not flown since summer of 2018 before WLS. No longer needed that essential fashion accessory like before. Yay! Happy Halloween, too! Just couldn't resist this cartoon in honor of all whom have benefited by plastics. Another, yay! Clothes fit so much better and tailored.

  13. Green Tealaeh we are twins! Saturday's gel manicure in lavender (to blend with that leather jacket you like) for a business trip north. I'll be off the grid for a spell - BUT here was dinner tonight. Used a filet mignon from the freezer, sautéed up some shallots, sliced left over baked potato + baby peas for dinner. Mr. Sophie finished my plate. ;]

Ok, ok, this will be the last of the clothes shopping finds for OOTD for a while, i promise! Enough is enough already as i’ve been clogging this thread a little too much lately (and spending too much time charging stuff on the credit card).

Anyhoo, picked up this super cute romper, despite the fact I won’t be even able to wear it until next summer AND i’m not even sure i’d be comfortable wearing it in public...it’s awfully short. May be will save it for when on vacation (it that ever happens...eff u Covid).

This is adorb! Your legs are wonderful and so toned. Come visit us in Florida! I know the perfect places to romp in your new romper. And, winter is sublime here...

  16. That turkey sausage looks really good! Craved broccoli today - so, sautéed some with fresh garlic and olive oil. Made baked pork chops with diced tomatoes, onions + green pepper. Helps keep pork chops tender without salt brine method. Ate it all. Had a chia pear chocolate pudding for dessert. Hot tea with honey and milk for evening snack. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving, ms.sss. What a beautiful festive dinner you made for the fam! They are a lucky bunch... Your turkey looks so tender. I'll have to try the instant pot for our Thanksgiving turkey!

Ooohhh i want. Was it easy to make???

It really is easy! Just take green or red peppers core out centers. Make meatloaf mix - I use ground beef sirloin + chuck so not too dry. Add chopped onions, oatmeal, bread crumbs or rice, carrots, crushed garlic, black pepper, egg, Worcester sauce and fresh green parsley. I don't use a recipe - just throw in this and that. Top with Heinz chili sauce and bakes in an hour. Makes great leftovers. Mr. Sophie had the last stuffed pepper tonight. ;]
