Yep. That’s me. Makes it easier to pack when your wardrobe only contains one colour - everything matches lol.

You’d have loved it Ms.sss. All inclusive food & drinks. Magnificent views. Perfect occasions for wearing patio dresses (if the weather was warmer). Great friends. Private spa on our deck. Hot stone massage. ‘Would you like another glass of bubbles.’ ‘Yes, thank you & another cheese platter please.’

Surprisingly the rtn helicopter trip worked out cheaper than each of us buying a return plane flight to a regional centre. We enjoyed it so much we’re planning to go by chopper for our next weekend away.

Purty lady for sure! Gorgeous skin. Superb sunglasses. ;]

Thank you!! They were only 2 bucks! Loving your jean jacket!! I need to get one ASAP. I love the look of a sun dress or maxi dress with a jean jacket. I don't wear sleeveless b/c of my arms but would wear them with a jacket like yours!

Ahhhhh, the classic jean jacket. A timeless staple for every wardrobe! These are my two favorites purchased after WLS. Great for concealing saggy arms, too. You must model for us your new consignment finds, plus that perfect little jean jacket when you find it! Fun. I just love ms.sss's jacket, too. It would look splendid with her gauzy pieces before summers end. I'm currently on the look out for a white jean jacket to replace former size 2X one. ;]

Good news is, it didn’t rain. But more importantly, the BAD News is that we lost!!

    😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Btw, glad u are back, I missed you ❤️

That cabin in the woods is absolutely adorable...as is that pastel-y striped dress you were wearing. And I love that you and Mr. Sophie are colour coordinated in that pic 😍

Thanks! Still need that brachioplasty + abdomen scar revision to pull the dress off without a shawl. Re-scheduled surgery for November due to client/project needs early Fall. Need my arms and hands fully operational right now to draft up floor plans, elevations, architectural details etc. effectively. It will be wonderful someday to wear a short sleeve dress or blouse without the need to cover the bat wings! Pretty scary, right? Skin is so heavy on my small frame now. Each arm probably weighs one pound in loose skin. Oh boy. Until then - wiggle jiggle at the drafting board we go... Haha. ;]

Girls weekend at luxurious mountain retreat. (Can’t go to Spain as planned so this was our alternative. Glorious though cold: anoraks, gloves & hats. But just had hot stone massage, followed by about an hour in the bubbling spa. Now time for a gin in front of the fire with some Frank crooning in the background. Not a clothing shot but you can see some of the white robe. 76F2FC4D-CFE5-49CC-ABFC-ECC74EDC249E.thumb.jpeg.ef4c2289cf31d4b03816774e120659ad.jpeg

We did arrive in style. The only way.

Boy, and they say California girls have all the fun! I wish we all could be Aussie girls... I think the BeachBoys need a re-write. What a fabulous option! Looks divine. You even match the black helicopter. A Vogue spread, indeed. Enjoy! Have room for an American girl?

Thank you! It took 10 days to be ready, but absolutely worth it! The flavor blend is fenugreek, coriander, cumin, paprika and a ton of garlic, so it makes it so delicious.

Wish I could send you some!☺

I'm in State College (my hometown) later next week!!! You can bring me over some! Haha. I use to be a big meat and potatoes gal... now a flexitarian with preference for veggies, nuts, Beans and crustaceans. I can only tolerate tiny bites of beef, chicken or pork in less than 2 oz. However, I still do well and enjoy a little tender lamb chop with mint jelly. Maybe Monday's dinner? ! :]

Yesterday I ended up making a veggie broccoli crust pizza instead of a stir fry. The whole pizza was 569 cals and I ate two slices so about 70 cals a slice. If I used Tomato sauce instead of Alfredo it would be much less.

Will you come on down and cook for us!!! WOW, looks DELISH! BTW, my sister lives in Marblehead - And, there's nothing like a New England steamed lobster! When speaking earlier about simplifying - I can now enjoy a lobster without all the rich dips into warm butter and of course, the johnny cakes to go with it. Or, like here in the South - corn frites or cornbread. Tried a piece of California Pizza Kitchen's cauliflower crust slice - it wasn't too bad.

Congrats on reaching “the penthouse!” My Dad always says “ Hitch your wagon to a star!” And that’s what I’m trying to do. I’m just in the pre-op phase and feeling a bit frustrated with my weight loss. I eat about 750 calories a day (or less) and it’s mostly Protein. No sugar, no dairy, lots of Water. In the past if I wanted to drop some weight I would follow the same plan but now the weight just won’t come off. Went through menopause recently so I’m wondering if that has something to do with it. I’m seeing a hormone specialist and have an implant. Another reason?? I’m feeling a bit bummed since I’m trying sooo hard! I weigh and measure everything and I plan my meals and follow it; no cheating. Since you’re already in the penthouse, Any advice you can give would be appreciated!

Hi Kaki68 - You are definitely a STAR at any weight or stage! Please excuse my delay in reply here. I have a project deadline by the end of the month, but will definitely follow-up with the mindset + strategies that helped me make it to the penthouse as Dr. V refers. Meanwhile, the books I've posted here are a worthy read and a wealth of information on food science that may just apply to your current situation... Keeping in mind, each body is unique to one's self and one size plan does not fit all. Productive efforts, positive changes and advances internally do not always show up on the scale or inches, at first glance. Your body will sense your frustration and shut down. Give to yourself grace body, soul and mind. Looking into possible hormone issues is great step towards self care and self love. And, remember when our parents use to say, Rome was not built in a day! Hugs.

Oh thank goodness it's not just me! Sometimes my cooking and plating skills devolve exponentially because I get bored with food very easily, still hungry but not excited. I just want to eat and be done

    1a8qy1.jpg

Me three. I find my interests no longer entertain what the next meal is going to be. I've found and savor the simple, clean and uncomplicated dish mostly. Today, I made this navy bean Soup with cumin in the instant pot - And, WA LA...instant dinner containing a balance of nutrients. Hubby likes the lean ham and bacon. I like the hint of flavor they add to the broth and beans...

Heading out to an outdoor viewing party for tonight’s Raptors game. Hopefully the threat of rain stays away...but got my raincoat on just in case.

I think the jacket looks better closed, but it’s way more comfy open...

Okay, then! Our resident Bond girl kills it with her British khaki raincoat. Love that peep of a wash board tummy. Now, I need a rain coat. Hope your team won! x o ;]

I love Dr Vuong! He really does tell it to you straight, doesn’t he?! He’s written 13 books on bariatric surgery; check them out! I got mine through Amazon. His “colorful” language cracks me up! 😂 Have you watched the video about “staying on the elevator?” Very motivational!!!

Love him, too! Eat a wonderful salad everyday. Hubby enjoys a green smoothie each morning. Most thankful and glad to have made it to the penthouse! Dr. V is spot on when stating so many in the field often have such low expectations for their patients. As my Naval Academy father use to say, "If you're going to do something half-assed, don't do it at all!" Dad was and Dr. Vuong is a colorful communicator, but I've never doubted his sincerity, intelligence + care for the bari community. Ditto... very supportive, informative and encouraging! ;]

AND, you are at GOAL! Yay! Do share with us a picture on the OOTD thread - so we can all Celebrate your tremendous success and achievement. Is the garden cottage renovation complete, too? Please share. So excited to see.

My husband and I both hold onto things, for better or worse. He’s lost about 75 pounds since last October through diet and exercise. I’ve lost about 60 since March. We’re both near what we weighed when we met in December 2001. I told him we should put on the clothes we wore on our first date when they fit and take some pictures!

What fun! We will look forward to the pictures... Congratulations on your combined loss of 135 pounds! That's wonderful. A new improved Barbie and Ken on the horizon. ;]

Making Asian/Asian inspired meals this week. Keeping it going with pork chive and cabbage dumplings. I ate 3 of the steamed and was pretty full. Didn’t touch the fried.

  17. Missed everyone! Back home after the cabin retreat. We saw lions, tigers and bears, oh my! Actually, just bears. A mama bear and her two cubs then, a juvenile later down the lane. Here's a few great dishes we savored from a roof top restaurant in town. Hubbies homemade strawberry rhubarb pie-ettes for himself and our cabin guests.

Had some cauliflower left in the fridge - so tired to replicate this salad we had a few weeks ago at our new fav restaurant. It's thinly sliced raw cauliflower, slivered roasted almonds, sliced dates and kale strips. Tossed and marinated in fresh lemon juice, honey, olive oil with S&P + chili flakes dressing. Shaved Parmesan cheese topping. Too lazy to make the shrimp and lemon zest... It was lunch. I ate the entire serving in clear glass bowl.
