You still can’t sleep on your side?! Ugh. Lol I keep trying and it’s not working. When will the tightness go away?

Hey everyone. So I’m one week out from surgery. I had the VSG done on the 28th. I don’t feel hungry at all. Getting my water and protein are hard. But I have been eating cream of wheat which has been a life saver. I don’t have any indication really that I’m full when I eat so I usually will eat 2-3 oz and then stop as I don’t want to get sick. My mom and brother are in town to help me out but I have been focused on keeping them entertained instead of resting. Today my stomach is very sore. Probably because all of the movement. One episode of vomiting of my first night home, but otherwise I’ve been feeling good. Occasionally the muscle under my incisions will burn really bad and I have to sit and rest before I can move again. I also have been having a ton of acid production which has been pretty painful. It feels like an intense hunger pain. But my medication and tums have really been helping.

Got discharged last night. Still in pain. Can’t find any comfortable way to sleep.

Surgery is tomorrow! I have a butt ton of laundry to do, and cleaning. And I’m still laying in bed. I’m so tired. This liquid diet is kicking my butt.

Hey ladies and gents I’m trying to get together my stuff for the surgery next Friday. What things should I pack in my overnight bag?

The tomato soup seems to help! The bone broth tastes like watered down chicken grease to me. But then again I’m probably used to too much dang salt in my food.

I get unlimited shakes daily but I’m a dialysis nurse and I know what too much protein can do to your kidneys. So....... no. Lol.

Anyone have an suggestions for a savory liquid? I’m only on day one of the pre-op but I have a feeling I’m going to get tired of the sugary protein shakes.

Tomorrow starts the liquid diet! I literally just had a lobster for lunch ?

Okay so I just recently came across the term “last suppering.” So I’m curious, what was the last big meal you ate before your surgery? Or what do you plan to eat? I’m thinking I want Lobster. But that’s probably because I’m a New Englander lol.

Hey! I’m Kearston. I’m 33, no kids yet! Single and awkwardly living with my ex lol. I have mild sleep apnea and I hate using my cpap. I’m currently at 300lbs and I have PCOS so I struggle to lose even 5lbs. My surgery is scheduled for June 28th and I’m super excited. More for the 5 week break from work I’m taking lol but the surgery is good too.

Have you guys bought anything for post surgery? I have no idea what to stock up on! I wish someone made a list lol
