  1. All your hard work is gonna finally pay off. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery ?
  2. I miss rice so much. My team says not to have it for six months along with bread and all other starchy carbs. I'm also wondering how it will sit with my stomach.
  3. I love your post! That's the way I used to travel when I was thin and fit. I miss those days. I'm also a foodie traveler and will continue to be but will now be able to control my portions a lot easier. P.S. You've done a great job keeping the weight off! Congratulations ?
  4. This is pretty good and it has no protein taste
  5. How fun! I hope you have a great time and post some pics for us ?
  6. Ahhh the city I developed my plantar fasciitis! Lol ? I love D.C. Before you go back call your congressman and have them schedule a private tour of the White House and Capital building for you ?
  7. Congratulations!!! ??
  8. When me and my nutritionist were going over my guidelines after the liquid phase she brought out the 1/3 cup and said I shouldn't eat more than that. I gotta tell you I was shocked because it seemed so minuscule compared to what I used to eat. So I told her it seems like I could eat more! She pointed to her head with her finger and said that's all in your head. Eating more than that is giving into head hunger. And she was right my mind will still tell me that's not enough when I visually see it but when I eat I'm constantly waiting for the cues of being satisfied/full and stop eating immediately when they come. It's usually before I've eatin the whole 1/3 C.
  9. I stop before I feel full because the sensation of full is different now and I don't want to stretch out my pouch. Here is my portion control guidelines. Hope this helps ?
  10. Sorry you're going through this again .......I'm happy for you though that you have some relief coming soon. Kick that gerd in the a55!!!!
  11. I take Flinstones complete twice a day one in the morning and one at night. It is what my nutritionist suggested.
  12. Hey surgery twin! Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Looks like we've even lost around the same amount since surgery ( I lost a half pound pre surgery). I eat a little slower than I used to but stop when I'm full rather than eating the whole meal just because I don't have the patience or time to sit there and keep eating. I supplement with a protein shake on days I don't quite make my protein goal.
  13. Go back to the hospital and insist on getting some tests done you should be able to eat something by now.
  14. I used to have the Marcy smith gym and loved it. But I haven't went home gym shopping for about ten years now and don't know what the new equipment is like.
  15. Some days I eat 400 and some I can eat up to 700. I don't know why some days I eat a few bites of protein source food and get full and other days I can eat more. No more than 1/3 cup though. I don't excersize at all yet besides doing a few reps of squats every day and staying a lot more active. I will eventually start lifting but wanted to let my body just take this time to fully recover.
  16. Good luck and a speedy recovery to you both! ?
  17. I wish I was this naturally pretty. Green you just pull it off flawlessly- Beautiful!
  18. I'm right here with you going through my first stall too! It suuuucks ?I haven't lost anything in a week! We'll get through it....soon I hope ?

Breakfast is a tough one to prep. It just doesn't taste the same reheated or will have a nauseating smell when reheated. I usually do a protein shake, cream of wheat or Greek yogurt if I can't cook breakfast every day.
  20. I'm surprised you're eating foods so soon after surgery but every Dr. has different rules. Try to make liquids your priority over the food at this stage. Staying hydrated is so important.
