HEY GIRLS,I am back to work tonite feel great, I am now on thick liquids. Soups creamy YUMMM. I do not feel hugry at all wish it would last forever. I have just been trying to get down 2 adkins shakes a day, and some creamy soup. They have calcium chews at walmart. Am I missing something with not doing all these protien shots ect???

So when is your surgery?? 16 lbs is a great start, even just a couple days on the liquid diet I feel like I have lost. not going to weigh until surgery on tuesday. Are you excited?? -

DAY3 OF PRE OP LIQIUD DIET AND I FEEL LIKE CRAP. Feeling nausea, very tired just oevrall ICKEY!!! Does this get better or do I just have to deal with it? -

I am on day 3 all liquid, I am lucky that I only have to do it till tuesday, surgery tuesday am. I am having trouble with nausea and dizziness, anyone experience this?? and have not cheated once !!! Yeah for Me!!! -

Well I guess I am one of the Sept. Gang! Went to my appointment today thinking I would be lucky to be banded maybe next month, to my surprise I being Banded Tuesday. Sooo not prepared!! Start liquid diet tommorrow. Guess I better get ready!!:omg_smile:

I went to the new start program with dr folwell, and did not have to pay any type of fee. Just got approved and hope to have the lap band by the end of the month.

I have bcbs nj ppo and had no problem just got my approval letter.just follow all there guide lines 6 month diet with a dr. Bmi was 39 with other health problems, had a knee replacement due to athritus, high cholesterol. I went to the seminar in april and just got my approval letter with no problems good luck -
They are not having you do liquid diet for 2 weeks . I keep reading about pre-op diet

OK,Was approved on Thursday and was very surpised! So need lotsa info on pre-op .Whats good and things I should stock up on for before and after surgery! Thought I would have alot more time to prepare!! thanks CHA CHA:blink:

Ruby I have BCBS NJ EPO . Went to seminar in april, did all the pre op test psch. letters from Drs , and was submitted July 14th, I called every week and very nicely let them know I was going to pursue this all the way.Last week got approval, so don't give up as long as your insurance doesn't have an exclusion and you meet the criteria they will approve it.

I think Target has Cystort protein I have not tried it yet, Have tried the protein shots, I mis it with crystl lite. I have used the SlimFast Optima powder. Chocolate I add milk a couple icecubes and splenda packets and blend kinda makes a thick frosty shake.The Vanilla pwder I put in frozen strwberrys and mix with the milk, not to bad.

Yes, I was shocked when I got the call. I am approved, no appeal, no missing paperwork, just approved with BCBS, Now I am really happy and nervous. I was not expecting to be approved without a fight. So all of you waiting out there for approval, don't give up!!! Now I need to prepare, any help and info on pre-op and post-op foods to stock would be greatly appreciated. Thanks CHACHA:thumbup:

I JUST GOT THE CALL ON THURSDAY. So i know the feeling, I thought I would be denied 1st time around but was pleasantly surprised when I got the call. Now just waiting for the letter, before the Doc will see me. I had BCBS and from this forum thought I was in for a fight as I only have 100lbs or so to lose. So I am ready to start!!

Yes I called the dr office right after i stopped jumping up and down!!! But they have to wait for the letter which will be sent out on monday. they would not fax it Darn!!

I hope yours goes as easy as mine. I was expecting a fight after reading what others have gone through on this site. I have had knee replacement, and don't want another. I guess they figured this was cheaper than another replacement.
