  1. I’ve just recently started to feel the “hunger” coming bk. Scares me too. Also recently cut out snacking (even though the snacks were protein) so I’m not sure if the “hunger “ is from that or not. I don’t have a true stomach growl or anything...just the feeling of wanting to eat more now that I haven’t had since my surgery. Sucks.
  2. What are Macros?
  3. I use My Diet Coach (free app)
  4. Never thought about how I could be eating around my sleeve. Scary.
  5. I signed up for My Diet coach and am going to log my info
  6. I heard that too. In my coffee I’m gradually switching from sweet n low to truvia. Right now I’m at two truvia and one sweet n low. I use to be three sweet n low. I did read to try and stay away from artificial sweeteners. Today I am logging what I eat. I stopped doing that and I’m going to start back up. Hoping that helps me not snack. I think the snacking is more habit bc it happens mainly when I get home from work while cooking dinner and later in the evening.
  7. Thanks everyone for the advice! I love this app. Everyone is always so helpful
  8. I haven’t been going to the dietician. I need to go...
  9. So I was sleeved on 7/23/18. SW:238, Pre op weight 221, CW 162. Goal is 138. I've lost 75 pounds and have been doing good with weight loss. I recently order a couple cookbooks and I noticed in it said that you should not snack and to only have three small meals a day. The small meals are fine but I mainly snack to get more protien in as I know I don't get enough daily. Curious what others do. Part of me says I'm doing good bc the scale is moving in the right direction...but the other part of me thinks am I doing something wrong...last thing I want is months down the road to slowly start gaining again. Biggest fear is gaining all the weight bk and looking like a failure...... Advice?
  10. When people ask a nosy question just say to them "Why do you ask?" What are they going to say ? "I'm super freaking nosy!"
  11. I had the sleeve with Hiatal Hernia repair. I didn't have the cramping that you are having but I did have the heartburn which I did not have prior to surgery. I am almost six months out and I don't have heartburn hardly at all now. Let your doctor know but I wanted to tell you people told me it would get better and for me it did. Hope it does for you too!
  12. I can't eat soup...burned out from liquid phase? I'm almost six months out lol
  13. Wow that's AWESOME!! Congrats!!
  14. I am almost 6 mos post op and my biggest fear is one day going bk to where I began
  15. For those vets have yall been able to keep most of the weight off?
  16. Me too! I want to get to that point where I can wear shorts and look like that in them!!!
  17. Wow! I don't see any loose skin either! You look great!!
  18. I'm 44. My advice...start working out w weight training asap. It will help make it not as bad.
  19. That's awesome for you!!! Only 40 pounds left for you to go?!! That's awesome!!
  20. Losing that much is great and I look so much better in clothes but geez naked not so much. At 44 your skin doesn't bounce bk and I haven't helped it much by not working out like I should. So if I were you try to do light weight training to build muscle so you do t become saggy. My "girls" are deflated and very very sad. BUT once I lose that last 30 pounds I'm going to give myself a goal of keeping it off for a year. So once I hit my goal weight I'll count 12 mos from then and if I keep it off and maintain (I WILL!!) then I'm treating myself to some new breasts!!
  21. I was sleeved 7/23 and I'm 165 now. So just under 6 mos he o lose the 74lbs. my goal is 135 so I have 30 more to go?
  22. Hey Lolo2020 The loss was quicker earlier on and has slowed down since. But I was losing anywhere from 2-4 pounds a week initially. Take advantage of this honeymoon period where you're not "hungry" so you can make better choices. For me the hunger hasn't come bk yet so I'm tstill taking advantage of that by eating healthy. I do have my mega sweet tooth that gets me. Ex Skittles. I also weigh every day bc it keeps me in check. But I know that maybe considered obsessive to some but it's what works for me. You can do it. Just focus on the prize and reward your self w a new shirt or pants. That has been very exciting for me...buying clothes. Hope I've helped. Let me know if you have any other questions I can help with.
