Pre-op Diet - I cheated!
It'll help you post-op if you learn to be able to do liquids pre-op and follow a plan as scheduled. Good luck.

Impatience & how to prevent loose skin
That's why it's better to lose slowly, to avoid the big issue of a lot of excess skin. What's your hurry? Let it happen.

Did I pass Mental Evaluation
I just had to answer the questions about support systems, diets tried and failed and expectations for surgery. No tests.

Gas and bloating 3 weeks PO
No, I didn't have those issues, thankfully. Sorry you're going through this. Really try to get that protein in. Hang in there and good luck with your WLS journey.

Last meal!
I didn't have any big blowout or "food funeral." I was already eating pretty healthy for a couple of months prior to surgery, then on a 1500 calorie-restricted diet two weeks before surgery. I didn't feel the need to say goodbye to any foods or celebrate beforehand with food.

Multivitamins
My surgeon said it was okay to return to capsules after a month.

*Tears* longest Plateau Ever..long vent
I've tried going lower, I've tried going higher, but I'm still stuck. 600-800 works best for me and I just have to be patient. I'm exercising 4 or 5 days a week, focusing on protein, getting in my water and staying under 1,000 calories so you'd think I'd be losing weight, but no, my body doesn't want to right now. It happens. Just stay the course.

Severe incision pain at largest site
My surgeon forewarned me that the incision site at the muscle may be painful, but it never was. Sorry you're going through this. Hang in there, it'll heal with time.

Anyone else get sick drinking this?
Your post didn't mention the brand name or a photo of it or anything. I'm six months out and I'm still drinking GNC Lean Shakes (premade) and loving them. Both chocolate and vanilla are great.

Crunchy salty snacks
I buy the protein snacks on Bariatric Pal and at the GNC store. I like the protein BBQ chips and I'm expecting a delivery today of the protein cheese puffs to try. Check them out.

Food getting stuck
There are still some foods that my stomach doesn't like yet like steak (too dense) and shredded chicken and soft tortillas. Your body will tell you what you can and can't tolerate for a while. It changes as time passes.

Newbie Adjusting To Post Sleeve Life
Welcome to the forums and good luck on your WLS journey. You lost a LOT in your first 30 days, so I think that's above-average. Keep up the good work.

Good luck on your WLS journey.

Ya , it’s me
Hmmm, that's interesting. Now that you mention it, some of the women around my neighborhood are looking at me differently now and making it a point to tell me they're the wives of the husbands on the block. Nobody did that when I was a big fat blob. Hmmm, I guess it's some of those things we don't think about when losing weight. I guess it's a good thing in a way???

Pureed beef?
I never did anything pureed. I still have trouble with red meat, specifically steak, because of its density.

shorts 4 summer.
Wear whatever you want no matter what size you are is my motto. I wear shorts, bathing suits, short dresses. I don't care as long as I'm comfortable in them and feel okay about it.

Hello from Utah!
Welcome and good luck on your WLS Journey

Rumbling tummy
I had this with sleeve too and it lasted from month 2 to month 6 but now it's gone.
-
Low heart rate
I wouldn't worry too much because you're just two days post-op and you've been resting, so your heart hasn't had a reason to raise its rate much.

It's almost my surgerversary!!!
Happy Surgiversary! You're looking GREAT!

Post Op
Glad to hear that you're doing well.

Surgery needs and help
For the hospital stay itself I only needed toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and chapstick. For once I got home I had lots of different liquids to choose from (Gatorade Zero, Crystal Light, Diet Peach Snapple Iced Tea), sugar-free popsicles, sugar-free pudding

Pre surgery 6 mth required diet
It has to be six consecutive months of visits to a doctor or clinic where they've weighed and measured and counseled you on your diet.

Freaking out.
Gosh, I don't know what to make of them either. Good luck!

Anxiety
That's a pretty low BMI. I didn't realize high cholesterol was a comorbidity factor. I have that too. Good luck!
