    MY DISNEY VACA!!!!

You'll do just fine. There are plenty of options and you'll be getting lots of exercise. I'm going on a cruise in two weeks to celebrate my 55th birthday and this will be my second cruise post-bariatric-surgery. Easy peasy. So many healthy options available.

    Veterans views On MRE powder

No, I haven't done any of the powders, just the pre-made protein shakes, GNC Lean Shakes. I take that back, I did do the GNC Lean Shake powder (chocolate) but used it to make protein fudge, which is another way to get your protein and calories in.

    loose stretch mark skin

I don't know that tattooing would help. I have several tattoos that are 20 years old and they get faded and ugly over time and age, so it might just add insult to injury.

    Little Scared

It's completely doable, but it's a shock to your eating habits. Protein shakes, sugar-free jello, sugar-free pudding, sugar-free popsicles, chicken broth, beef broth.

    Oh, Just Another Plastics Story

Congratulations and good luck. I'd like to do that too, depending on the cost and whether or not I lose 20 more lbs.

    Which Pain Kilkers?

Bruised ribs are very painful and there's nothing they can do about it. You'll just have to stick it out. I've never taken any pain medication for anything.

    Struggling

Do you mean that you're eating too much or the wrong foods? It's so important that you follow your dietitian's plan for the first 6 months to a year. You need 75-80 g of protein, 600-800 calories, 64 or more ounces of water. That's it. You don't need carbs or fiber or sugars. Keep portions to 1/2 cup even if your stomach could handle more. Don't do it.

    ReluctAnt fish eater

You can cut the fish in halves or thirds and freeze the other portions and use them as you're ready to eat them.

    Grainy Hummus

You should be fine at 4 weeks post-op. Did you have any problem with the couple of spoonfuls you ate? It's soft food, so I'm sure it's okay.
  11. Oh gosh, other than having the surgery, what would you do if you WERE pregnant? Would you keep it/would you abort? That's really the question, isn't it?

    Fallen off

I'm a year post-sleeve and didn't lose as much as I should have/could have so I'm back on it. I never stopped counting calories and tracking protein intake and drinking water, but I added in some sugary foods a few times that halted my progress. So to get back on track I am back here on the forums to keep informed and aware. I track every single thing I eat in MyFitnessPal.com. I eat 80 g of protein a day, around 1000 calories, drink 64+ ounces of water a day and work out 3 times a week.
  14. Me too. I use a powder, don't laugh, called, "Monkey Butt Powder" that is like a talc but better and to keep skin folds from getting moist and rubbing or getting yeast in them. You can get it at WalMart.

    Quick question

Sounds like you're where you need to be now in terms of calories and you don't need the gym right now. So I' think you're fine where you are.

2 months after surgery still can’t eat much

That's a GOOD problem to have. You don't want to be hungry, that's why you had the surgery in the first place, to get rid of your hunger hormone. Drinking protein shakes will work just fine. Don't rush the process. You'll be grateful later.

I haven't heard of SIPS, what is it?

    Need a good LIE

I told people that I had hiatal hernia surgery, which was partially true because they fixed my hiatal hernia while doing the bariatric surgery.
  19. I only get it when it's something my stomach won't tolerate. A year post-op and I still can't eat steak, bread, pork chops, pasta, or potatoes.
  20. That sounds okay to me. When's your follow-up post-op visit?

    Scar oils/creams

I used Bio Oil on my scars for six months post-op

    Help I need input

Are there other doctors in your surgeon's practice? See one of them or find a completely new doctor, but get it checked out.
  23. Your body is still expelling the anesthesia and recuperating from the surgery. Heartburn is normal for a while. Keep getting that water in and stay hydrated. It all gets better within a week.
  24. It's a lot going on right after surgery. You're focusing on the right thing - sipping water all day long and staying hydrated. That's key. The food isn't as necessary. It's only been 2 days, starting on the third day since your surgery, so give it a week and I promise it all gets better. Hang in there and good luck on your weight loss journey.

    Please Help

It really does sound like dehydration. Keep sipping, sipping, sipping water all day long.
