    Hi everyone!

My gas pain wasn't bad. I had surgery at 7am and was walking by 3pm. I think that really helped. Every time I would wake up I would walk a lap down the hall Joey

    Surgery in 2 weeks...

I was extremely nervous. When the nurse came in the prep room I told her I was very nervous and I really didn't want to remember rolling into the operating room. They gave me a sedative right before they rolled me out and I don't remember any of the ride down the hallway. Lord help Losing2Day to be less nervous and to know they have made righ decision. Guide the Surgeons and give speedy recovery. Amen Joey

  4. The pre op diet was tough. Post op is actually a lot easier. Lots of sugar free jello anf sugar free popcicles helped Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Quesiton re post op

Ibuprofone is a nsaid and is harsh on stomach. It can lead to ulcers more readily after gastric surgery. Tylenol is ok though. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surgery in 2 weeks...

I understand the idea of a food funeral. I had the same feelings. I talked with a Lot of people who had the surgery and they said you DO get back to foods you want to eat. It's just a change that you will want a slide or 2 of pizza rather than the whole thing. I'm 9 days out from surgery and the worse part so far was having a Catheter in the first day. I'm a guy so I know I'm a big baby. Just sip a lot of liquids. Walk. It helps with boredom and helps to heal. I've cubes and sugar free popcicles are amazing the first few days. Hi everyone!

My advice is sugar free popxicles. They count as liquid and feel so good going down. I'm 9 days out from my surgery. Walking helps with all the medical stuff and the boredom in the hospital and at home. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Sugar free or low cal popcicles count as fluid and help with head hunger. They are life savers. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Not full and very hungry

My girl friend had the vsg back in Sept and felt same way. She found protein water drinks that worked better for her. I had the Rny 9 days ago and don't mind the premiere protein shakes. Thay make me real thirsty so I alternate drinking a little shake and then drinking some water. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I'm 53. Had the Rny surgery on 11/8. Down 25 during 2 week pre-op diet. Down 20 since surgery for a total of 45 so far. Not bad for 3 weeks. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
