Every day, in every way, we can only get better, a journey of a thousand steps starts with just one. And you will love seeing the person you always felt you were start to emerge. And if you don't rule the world, you at least own your little corner of it! Congratulations on all of it!

Personally I went from 404lbs the day of surgery down to 210lbs at 6’2” without a single minute of designated exercise. I just eat right after my Roux-en-Y. But the flip side is i have a very labor intense job so i had dense muscle already. Ladies and gents it’s important to have good muscle tone for this to work.

And Mr "Just waiting and oraying" could be at that meeting, maybe if not him, his mama, his Aunt. There is somebody for you, don't fish in the polluted waters of townhouses and bars, you don't want a " bottom feeder" when you deserve a smooth sleek Rainbow Trout in your life! Go for it, You Do Deserve The Best!😝🍀😝

Am really sorry it turned that way with you, actually nausea is no jock but try smelling some alcohol swab might help you, it helped me A LOT, and to me it didn't last for more than 3 days, waking is so good for the gas, try to open up your appetite with teeny tiny super small sips, increase gradually, all the best in your journey [emoji123]

I myself brought the news to my grammar and aunts few days after discharging from the hospital, whatever negative comments I would reply "I understand your concerns thank u, but it's my health and my decisions" and if any further negative comments I would just engage myself in a game or a mobile chat ([emoji113]talk to the hand)

But I think I hit my stride and felt like surgery never happened 2 months post op. Hang in there!
    Safe Journey 🎈

It’s actually not misleading at all he doesn’t say don’t work out at all he says make sure you have a,b, and c together before you work out or it’ll be a punishment to your body and not beneficial. Definitely something everyone should watch.

I agree with the doctor but I don't go to the gym to lose weight. I know that's going to happen regardless. I'm now going because I want to build muscle. With all the deficiencies that come from this surgery, I want to make sure my muscle stays in tack.

    Hey guys,

I’m only 2 days post-op and let me just say the last 2 days have been hell for me. Uncontrollable nausea is the absolute worst for me. The night after my surgery I could not stop vomiting blood. It was a 5 hour ordeal and it made my abdomen all the more sore. I can deal with the gas and the soreness, but the nausea is making this process so much more difficult. I can’t even get my Vitamins down without feeling the need to throw up. As a matter of fact, the only thing I ate today was a popsicle (and that took 1 hour to eat). I can’t take the smallest sips of Water without feeling like I need to vomit.

I have been getting my 30 minutes of walking in, but that’s the only thing I’ve been able to successfully do.

I know it’s early and that I need to be patient with myself, but right now it seems like there is no end in sight. When did you start feeling better? What did you do to get rid of the nausea? How long was your abdomen distended for? (Mine is quite large. I gained 8 pounds since my surgery). I really need to get my water and Protein in, but it seems impossible right now. Any advice or comments are welcome.

I live with my mom and my sister, they are the only know that knows....and my boss because I had to ask leave but I'm not telling anyone..I havent even told my best friend. Before I was even planning to get the surgery she would tell me "Don't ever get the surgery...I dont want you too and I wouldn't be supportive" so I havent told her nor any family and friends..I had my surgery in July....its come up around family but I keep denying it..I feel like it's my journey..my alone...its not taking the easy rode as people say, as I used to say. It's really hard work....I. proud of my progress and I dont want to bring in negative vibe...if you do decide to tell people I hope you will not get any negative vibe but just good support

I thought about keeping it a secret and did until about half way through the process until I really thought about it and decided I really didn't care what others opinions were on the matter because I am doing this for me, not for them. Now I have a Facebook page that I invite everyone too. Surprisingly enough everyone has been very supportive. I have no shame in what I am doing for myself, you shouldn't either!

There is always an a*****e or two in the bunch. That’s why I thinks it’s better for me to keep it to myself. Congrats on your 95lb weight loss. It’s inspiring.

My wife and daughters know (they have been very supportive), but I'm not telling anyone else. Its MY personal journey, and whether they approve or disapprove doesn't matter to me. I want to get healthier. I started dieting and working out once again a few months ago, and am down 34 lbs. So, they will probably think it's just that. If they ask, I will answer truthfully, but I'm not going to broadcast it. I think its personal.

Before surgery, I only told people I was positive would be supportive. I wasn't interested in debating pros and cons with Negative Nellies. They didn't get a vote. Told the rest of the family afterwards and pretty much said "support is welcome, not criticism"

I'm having an internal struggle about telling people that I am having bariatric surgery. My husband has been so supportive so has my parents and 3 really close friends. But when I told my mother in law after I received my official surgery date. She said well why can't you just follow a diet. I don't think she meant it to be as hurtful as it sounded but its comments like that I don't want to hear. It was already hard enough to make the decision to start my weight loss journey and to get to this point I am now. Its an accomplishment that I am proud of but I feel like I am keeping it a secret. After my mother in laws comment I don't think I will tell anyone else. Has anyone had the negativity with telling people in their life?
