I had the bypass on Feb 25th 2019, day of surgery I weighed 254 as of yesterday the scale said 234 It seems like I am loosing fairly slowly. I honestly cannot even tell I lost any weight at all. Does this sound right to you guys should I be loosing more. Im following the diet as I was told. Thank you

I'm so excited I went to my final weigh in 02-21-19 I only needed to loose 5lbs I'm down 14 being on the liquid diet wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Now just waiting for Monday morning.

I just started the program and I need to keep a food log. Is there an app that can help me with my Protein, fat.and calorie intake for my meals for the month that's easy to use?

Welcome I had an upper GI as well it wasnt too bad. Good luck this forum is great to help you thru alot of this process

I was given my surgery date 02.25.19 I am so excited. I am wondering if anyone can tell me about how many days I should take off work. I am a auto claims adjuster and I am at my desk about 7.5 hours a day.

It took me about a 10 days to hear back and get my surgery date. Good luck let us know what they say.

I woke up attached to a lot of different things. IVs, heart monitor thing, tube up nose, etc. I also had a drainage tube. It wasn't pleasant but it was definitely tolerable. I had it for about a week.

IV drip yes. Drainage tube(s) not everyone.
Know that your surgeons team is going to take good care of you. The pain will be managed with fantastic medication by IV. You will care less about anything medical hanging off you. Blood pressure cuffs, heart monitors , IV bag etc.
I had a drain for two days. Annoying and grose, Sure. But, there are worse things in life.
The pain is temporary. Your results will be amazing.

It must vary because I did not have any bags or tubes anywhere unless you count the IV. The pre-op waiting period is prime time for all your fears and paranoia to come to the surface. I was a nervous wreck and the folks here were so kind, understanding and encouraging. I'm a planner, so I spent a ton of time combing through the boards trying to learn everything I could ahead of time. The great news is that this surgery is life changing in a really positive way. I'm waiting on Insurance approval to get a surgery date for gastric bypass. Right now my only fear is having to have a bag or tubes attached to me after surgery. Do they do this for every gastric bypass or does it vary?

Congrats on the 4th surgery date! I too have gone through the seminar, the classes, and talking to the doctors. I'm not really worried about the surgery, more about failure. I've tried so many things to lose the weight and I am so motivated that I can do this, so I am very hopeful on the outcome.

I just started using Bariastic, and it’s really complete. And it can send you a report , measurements, food log etc. which you can print out. I love it!
