Mrs.Cartwill got a reaction from FluffyChix in 9 months post-op... poop question (sorry)
So I am down nearly 100 lbs. now, but I am suddenly experience severe cramping and then the explosive need to poop. It starts normally and slowly over like 1-4 hours gets worse and more frequent with more poop than I thought my body could hold! I don't do sugar, and have mostly cut out all carbs that are not from veggies. It definitely seems worse on days the I work out a bit more intensely (running instead of walking, etc.) Has anyone else had this problem? Like I literally just spend an hour at Starbucks afraid to get back on the road. After 3 trips to the bathroom, afraid people were wondering WTH I was kept doing in there, I finally l left. But really?? This sucks.

Starry*Night - I know JUST where you are. I had my surgery the day after you. I am struggling with getting in my Water too. I have seen people post about all their post-op energy and I’m like “where did you get it?” I made a few friends in my nutrition class who had their surgery the week before me and they are down 35-40 lbs, working out at the gym and already looking at buying new clothes.
Me: I’m like, wait... how? I can’t barely make it through a grocery trip at Walmart without feeling like I am going to pass out. When shopping with my mom and sisters and literally had to carry my muscle milk and bottle of water to keep me fed and hydrated during our Christmas shopping. Mind you, I also sat down a lot too. I have way less energy than before.
I get hiccups 4-6 times a day from drinking my water and I think I am barely getting 40 oz in. I am so tired of Soups and I just cant do mixed shakes etc., there is too many air bubbles.
You are not alone. We all have different paths to take and I have my days where I regret it too, BUT.... I know this too shall pass and when I get to the other side I will look back and be happy with the choice I made. You will too. Feel free to reach out anytime. We have a couple of us chatting on FB too. You can find me under Sheila R. Williamson (Sheila Carter) on FB. My profile pic is the same on here.

You are doing great!! Keep it up and go easy on yourself. You got this!

I had horrible nausea and light headedness so I could hold down any liquid I won’t be going home until tomorrow. It has finally started to pass but still there a bit.

You’ll do great! My surgery is tomorrow too! I have orders for no food after midnight (I’m in Washington State) and then clear liquids until 2 hours before check in at 11:45am 😊 so excited. I’m nervous about Water intake most.

TOMORROW is the day! I am on Clear Liquids until midnight then NPO.
Keeping all November sleevers in my thoughts and prayers.
This is my first surgery (besides a c-section) and I am nervous.
My biggest concerns are handling pain (I'm kinda a pain wimp) and dealing with "buyer's remorse."

I am new here too. I am set for the 26th of November. I just want to be able to walk without pain more than anything. At nearly 300 lbs and plantar fasciitis in my heel, it hurts to walk around the house, let alone spend time walking with super skinny, super active kids and grandkids.

I think it has been said before, but WOW you look amazing! And, you don't have a lot of skin which is amazing too! I am so afraid of the leftover skin. I have seen so many photos of people with sagging skin it is great to see one without it. Congratulations.

Congratulations and good Luck! I was lucky and had no issues immediately following surgery. Today I am 13 days post op and down 11.3 since surgery and 30.6 since i started my pre op diet. This is the best decision i have ever made. Today i transition to Puree. and i had a little bit of chili ( only because i couldnt blend it at work, i was unprepared). I will blend it later and attempt to finish it for dinner along with a Protein Shake. Heres to a speedy recovery!

Thank you Jenn. Yes, my mother's comments are out of fear. But you are right and my decision to have the surgery is out of fear too. Fear that I wont live to see my youngest child grow up.
    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

look up the thread for " Surgery- it's the Easy way out" people have been saying it for eons, wasn't True then, not True now! Baby it is HARD. See most people's bodies are perfectly happy you're FAT/OBESE. They are bebopping along, plenty of high-calorie tasty foods coming in, one burp of appetite and you are eating once again. Things, Body Says, are just fine and Dandy. And then you go , rocking and shocking it to the foundations, and your body tries to fight back. Say it isn't so, Joe, you're not going to STARVE ME, are you? Well in a stucturalized way, YOU ARE, and it is like riding an untamed bronco at times. Oh you may despair of having ever a smooth gaited Tennessee Walking 🐎, shoot I do myself still. Been through numerous fad diets, a presurgery liver-shrinking diet and a bumpy after-surgery trek that hasn't concluded yet. My personal diet 🐎 horse, people think I have it tamed already, well it still harbors a latent desire to "buck" me off and leave me still sitting in the middle of the corral on my rump in the dust!
One of our service groups motto is Eternal Vigilance, and that holds true for Weight Loss in its various forms. Never get complacent, it's a long drawn out process. Someday YOU TOO will reach your weight loss goal and go into " maintance", just saw a posting from a veteran, pounds were trying to return and she stated what she is doing to keep 5-10 pounds from sneaking back. Oh I would 💓to be her size and weight but I now see it still won't be EASY! But keep your face toward the🌞 Sunshine it's there for us all!🌈

    Hi All,
I am new here and schedule for sleeve surgery on 11/26 (next Monday) in in the US. I have to admit, I am getting a bit scared, nervous and doing some back peddling. I haven't been big on drinking Water and to be honest I have always had dry skin even when I do drink 64+ ounces a day. I am really worried about being able to drink those 64+ after surgery and becoming severely dehydrated. How do you vets do it? Also, how bad is the skin after... really? I have seen some pretty scary photos online and I think it is freaking me out a bit. Like, what is worse depression from having really bad hanging skin, or being overweight. I know I am probably just freaking out for no reason, but with only a few days left my brain keeps going, "Hey... you haven't tried the Ketogenic diet yet. Maybe you should try THAT before removing your stomach... that's how you will be eating after anyway.. "
I don't want to regret doing the surgery, but I don't want to be in the same place in a year saying I should have done it.
Has anyone else had last minute fears? Need a little real-life experience guidance here.
    Thanks in advance.
