  1. This might not fall exactly under the category of cheat, but I’ve learned I can guzzle up to 12oz water all at once and doing this a few times a day is how I get in over 80oz water every day. I never sip. If I had to sip,sip,sip I’d struggle to get in 1/3 of that.

    I wish I could tell you it will all be okay, but chances are it will not. That being said, I would still choose this 100 out of 100 times. I’m saving for face plastics and will follow through on that at least. At the end of the day I can wear longer shorts and tops that cover the shar-pei skin on my butt, thighs, and abs (not sure how my arms escaped looking drapey, but they look okay for my age) , but my face is pretty much out there for anyone to see and it’s looking older by the month. I don’t want anything radical like a nose job, or cheek implants.... I just wanna get the loose skin tidied up and to have a jawline again.

  9. Yeah, my fasting days are for sure low cal days. I probably got in 700-800 today, and I’m fine with it bc I like this lifestyle. it’s crazy how comfortable the routine becomes
  10. Never have tried that. I have had a protein shake, 2 ounces red meat and 1 oz Brie since breaking fast and I’m pretty full even though I ate my last food almost 4 hours ago
  11. I find my best workouts are in the mornings after I’ve fasted for at least 12-14 hours. today I killed a pretty advanced noon class and I was 17+ hours fasting then.

    Lol! Funny how all of us want different things. Me.... I’m loving my boob-less profile and of my hips would disappear I’d be over-the-moon happy. lol, my dream bod would be Linda Hamilton from terminator 2. Talk about sexy and ripped!

    Holy cow that before and after is AMAZING i just realized that I might have an intake pic running around somewhere from the first weight loss clinic I tried. might seriously have to go look for that
  14. So how many calories do you maintainers try to do after a fast? I just had some Italian meatball and shirataki noodle bake that hubs made last night. It was 3 meatballs with some Alfredo sauce, with a pile of the shirataki. Totally filled me up and From what MFP tells me, about 350 cals. Prolly won’t “eat” again til later when I’m at work and will have a protein shake. I might even get a little crazy and add in 2oz mixed nuts...... 🤣🤣🤣

  16. Yeah, but I’ve learned that if I don’t fast for at least 18-20 hours I don’t get the benefit of increased focus. Had a killer class just now (18 hrs fasting) but since yesterday was such a skimpy non-fasting calorie day, I decided to go ahead and eat rather than try to stretch it another day. We’ve got major weather coming our way, and I decided eating before work would be preferable to not-eating in case it gets really bad out there

    Okay so I’ll join in. I never, ever realized that losing this much weight would make me look like half my face melted into my neck. The one thing I had going for me pre WLS, was my tight skin around my jawline and i actually enjoyed having a round face. Now I see this very long face with hanging jowels that slides into a turkey neck. Not a good look and it makes me look waaaaaasy older than my husband who is 7 yrs older than me.
  18. Not me. Work gets intense. And I have to be “on” physically and mentally bc if I lose focus for just a few seconds my lack of focus could result in dire consequences. All in all, yesterday was a fairly low calorie day despite me not fasting. Had a PP shake, then a handful of mixed nuts, then for the sake of speed (we don’t get any kind of scheduled breaks so I eat on the run-literally) I dumped a P3 thingie in some leftover salad. If I’m generous, I prolly had about 600-700 calories, but it was enough. I was getting hunger pains when I got home at 11:30, but I drank down a bottle of water and was able to fall asleep with a combo of journaling/reading/ meditation before 1am. Was able to sleep til almost 9am and now I’m within an hour of class, then I can grab a quick bite to break fast before I’ll need to go to work again. Feeling strong, but I’ve had to drink 2 bottles of water since waking to get through a couple of hunger surges.

    Love these updates! The first place I’m getting plastics done will be face/neck. Never realized how “old” losing >100 pounds would make me look. Then maybe— maybe this time next year I’ll think about other parts of my bod (I’m looking at you, thighs)

    Love it Angie! Okay, so here is my OOTD- workout style for Tuesday. Love this top that I got off of ETSY, and today I will be hating on that magic circle. Also, I’m thinking my 51yo old lady arms are looking fairly toned in spite of the extra skin hanging around.

    Love all of this! I’m a breast cancer survivor and I’m thinking I’m going to modify my tattoo to have a pink ribbon round through it with my year of diagnosis. We all can celebrate how awesome clothes make us feel now, but the most important boon we get is better health and quality of life. CONGRATS on surviving
  22. It’s all good. Today wasn’t a good fasting option bc I’ve got a longer shift, and I got up way early to run, then go to Pilates. By the time I got home around 10am, I was already feeling the deficient so I settled down with my coffee/protein shake. Besides, today’s gonna be rough at work as we have a floater AND my lead tech is out with family issues. Not a good day to be cranky or hangry, so tomorrow we fast, lol
  23. I also have another one: I wish I would’ve had more mutual hobbies with friends other than eating and drinking out before this process. Your life takes such a 180 when it’s no longer food-centric and I’ve missed a lot of times with friends this year bc they can’t exactly figure out how I fit in anymore. We are all still trying to figure it out, but the social life WILL take a big hit and I’m learning that it’s just unavoidable and that eventually things will get back on track.
  24. I wish I’d taken more before photos. I literally would run and hide anytime there was a photo op and therefore I don’t have a single HW snapshot. The only thing I’ve got is a photo where my sister ambushed me on Christmas Eve 2018, which was after I’d lost some pre-surgery weight and I was already 20 pounds down from my HW. As painful as it was to see those photos at the time, I regret that I don’t have a anything really as a point of reference.
  25. Hey peeps! I’m going to do an 18 hour fast starting tonite. I’m going to have dinner finished by 7pm my time and will eat again at 1pm Tuesday if anyone wants to join. Typically I do 16:8 three to four times weekly, but I feel like mixing it up a bit.
