  1. Hmmm. With your baking and now your garden, I've decided i want to be your neighbour.
  2. you grow pumpkins too????? 😍
  3. Yep. I have a stash of menus in a box under my bed. lolololzzzz. Edited to add: Jokes don't translate well here, but obviously, i dont have menus under the bed. Just regular porn. lolololololzzzzzz
  4. I used the timer on my watch to time my bites. If remember correctly, I did 2 or 3 minutes between single bites. As time went on I would have 2-3 bites at a time (finishing and swallowing what was in my mouth before i put anymore in), then as more time passed, I'd shorten the interval. And yes, it took me FOREVER to eat. Good Luck! ❤️
  5. It's funny, I tried to set 130 as my "redline" weight but my mind and emotions had other ideas. When I hit 127, my anxiety level is such that I immediately start working on getting it back down. So my de facto limit is 127, LOL. I was the same way. My self-imposed "happy weight range" is 115-120. I made a deal with myself that if I ever reach 120 for five days in a row, I have to work to get all the way back to 115. And like you, when I get to like 118, i'm all: Crap! I may as well drop a lb or two now instead of having to lose 5 if/when i reach 120. I've had to do it 3 times in the past 3 years and it gets progressively longer to do (1 wk, then 3 weeks, then 3 months)....so, yeah. During the 3 month long attempt to get back to 115 (albeit, i didn't try very hard), I was seriously considering upping my happy weight range, though. If it happens again, I just might. We'll see. Now, on the other side of things, I don't worry too much if i drop below 115, as when I have, it doesn't last very long (except for the couple months after plastics), and it goes back to 115-ish with zero effort.

I call first dibs on your soon to be completed guest room!!!! 😂 P.S. Fab moto jacket!!!! I looooove the colour.
  7. *Maybe* that constant hunger u are feeling is GERD/excess stomach acid? …and the warm “herbal-ness” of your teas are soothing it? I’ve read on here that GERD sometimes feels like hunger…never felt this myself, but there have been members on here who have posted about this…

Oohhhhhhn yeeaaahhhhh….my favouite Amazonian (i.e., tall, lol) queen is baaaaaaack. (I’ve missed you!) Glad ur asthma issues have been dealt with ❤️ Am seriously loving that dress (I’m going through a love affair with gold/champagne/beige coloured clothes and shoes at the moment…and this fits right in). What is the material made of? Is it flowy or crinkly/rouchy? Either way, you are wearing it fabulously well. P.S. Bargain hunters unite!

    poop question after surgery

I didnt poop until 10 days after coming home…if you include the days i was in hospital, my first poop showed up in 12 days. Oh, and it was a doozy. *shudder* Being regular was a challenge the first 5-6 months, honestly. Here was what I did to combat it: - benefibre every morning in my protein shake, drank lots of water - if no poop in 3-4 days, took a dose of Milk of Magnesia for 1-2 days. - if no poop 1-2 days after the round of MOM, glycerin suppository time. I got much more regular after weight loss phase when i started eating more (thanks fatty foods, lol). I’m 3 years out now, and i poop every 2-3 days, so thankfully its no longer an issue. P.S. Not sure if you are on them, but pain meds and iron supplements will back you up considerably…so keep that in mind.

    Early Tummy Tuck

Some people do drop a lot more pounds after plastics, especially if there is still some stubborn fat deposits under the skin (or just lots of leftover skin in general for those who had massive amounts of weight loss). My surgeon said he removed a grand total of 400g of “material” from me, which is just shy of 1 lb (and i had a tummy tuck, arm lift AND breast lift!). But despite the minimal weight difference, the VISUAL changes were significant (well, at least to me, lol)
  12. Today, at 3 years out, i do about 1800 cals a day with moderate exercise. But I definitely do not eat healthily all the time….i drink alcohol and eat desserts regularly.

I tagged along with the Kid and her friend to a thrift store yesterday and came to the realization that I have been missing out on a whole supply of (cheap!!) wardrobe opportunities all these years!!! Left the store with these gems that I am still amazed at the price I got them for. I love DEALS!!!! Sooo...here's a OOTD photo dump of a sample of what I scored (sorry, not sorry, in advance for clogging this thread, lol) Find 1 & 2: tank top $5.00 high waisted 70's style jeans $12.00
  19. Well, i averaged 300-400 calories A WEEK for the first two weeks. Then 300-400 cals A DAY for the first couple months (i went through a serious case of food aversion) I *think* this is “sustainable” (for lack of a better word) for a small while in the beginning because we have LOTS of fat storage that our bodies can use for energy. If I did 300-400 cals a day for an extended period of time now, I’d probably be in the hospital. As for boosting cals, others have already mentioned above: healthy fats (avocados, nuts, nut butters, olive oil, etc.). I personally relied on chicharron (i.e., cracklins/pork rinds), as its high in cals and protein…but i realize its not for everyone and the high fat content may cause dumping in some. Good Luck! ❤️
  20. There is likely going to be a bit of a learning curve to figure out what your maintenance calories are. If you track your food intake, this process can be a little easier. Step one: figure out what your average daily intake is (by tracking calories) and weigh yourself regularly (to determine how this intake amount affects ur weight) Step two: if you are gaining or losing over a specific period of time, drop or add some cals, monitor for a while. Rinse and repeat until u find ur sweet spot. As u get further out and your activity levels change, you may need to reevaluate again and again. It took me 2-3 months to figure out my maintenance calories, and i lost a further 10+ lbs in the process. Since then i’ve been happily maintaining my current weight for over 2 years. I decrease cals when I exercise less and increase when there is more. Its an ongoing thing. Good luck! ❤️ P..S. Full disclosure: i don’t always eat healthily, but i generally always stay within my calorie range (on average).

    Early Tummy Tuck

So in Feb ‘22 you will be 13 months post op. i had my TT at 13 months post op too, but I was already at goal (well, technically below goal) at the time. Though I did schedule it months before (at 7 months post op) i *think* any loose skin you encounter after the tummy tuck will be minimal (if at all) as i would assume you will be closer to goal by then? What did your surgeon say? P.S. I’m 2 years post TT now and my tum is still lovely, lol. But my weight has been pretty stable since though… Good luck, and can’t wait to see ur results (if u choose to share, that is)! ❤️
  23. Ok, i wanna play too. To the OP: WE DO NOT CARE. I’m gonna go for that walk now
  24. +1 to the above responses. To your question: At 5 weeks, I was at about 300-400 per day At goal (7 months), was at 700-800 per day 1-2 years post, doing 2000+ per day (LOTSA exercise) Today at 3 years post, at about 1800 per day (moderate exercise) But that’s just me. If you are losing, it’s probably safe to assume your calorie level is just about right for YOU. No need to fix what ain’t broke, I’d figure. Good Luck! ❤️
