What causes YOUR weight loss stall?

More anecdotal two cents... I just naturally intermittent fasted, from Day 1, actually. Even pre-op, I rarely ate until at least after noon/1pm, (just not a breakfast person, never was, still not). But after surgery, I stopped eating by around 6-7pm because I had some early reflux issues and I wanted to make sure that my stomach was COMPLETELY and TOTALLY empty before I laid down for the night (or even to just lay down on the couch to watch tv). So this basically had me eating in a 5-7 hour window every day. All my labs came back swimmingly (still great, had my 2 yr follow up early last week) and I had energy for days (still do). P.S. I was sleeved P.P.S. Been in maintenance for well over a year, and I no longer suffer from nighttime relfux, so I do now often eat past 7pm...so i’m not naturally IF-ing anymore. Just my personal experience. -
For sh*ts and giggles! Been cleaning out our closets the past couple days (there are SIX garbage bags of clothes to be donated from my closet alone!), and tried on the Kid’s old 6th grade Halloween costume 😂🤣. Rawr! (It fit her much looser back then than on me now...good thing u can’t see my face as I am suffering from a serious wedgie...lololololzzz)

No Kohl’s in Toronto You look like you have a longer torso than me though...your jacket would likely hang too low on me. I find that I need to get cropped tops/jackets so the bottom hem ends at my waist and/or upper hips. Same thing with pants...low rise jeans tend to look like regular rise on me. Sigh.
-
Hmmm...I do like the cut of this jacket in the white option pic (slim-fit looking and semi-cropped)! BUT...i think there may be some photo-shopping or pinning involved as the same jacket in regular indigo wash is showing pretty boxy...(but for $40, its a steal, no?) Off to check out Loft (no Dillard’s here...)! ❤️

While I am happy for the change in status, I am sad that the prospect of you being my future nephew-in-law are dashed. 👍🏼👍🏼😭😂🤣🤣 Pics soon, pls!!

You and me both! i’ve been in the market for white jean jacket since spring 2019, lol. Just cant seen to find one in the right cut...

An H&M summer clearance SCORE. Picked up this top this afternoon for....$1.00 (and that’s Canadian dollars so it’s basically free for U Americans, lol) P.S. no full body shot this time cuz I’m wearing an old pair of jeans that are unflatteringly too big...

Same! I was a certified couch potato before, now im one of those people who needs to run to feel like the day is complete. And it all started with walking laps around my kitchen island...now I do at least 5km every day. (NOT around the kitchen island, lol)

This may or may not be applicable your case, but just a thought: if u are using kidney beans in your chilli, improperly cooked kidney beans are known to cause nausea/stomach aches/vomiting a couple hours after ingesting....the culprit is some sort of toxin or other that is only destroyed after proper cooking....

The study that convinced me to have surgery

Ugh. I hated the “concern” people around me always had about my eating habits. I just said, “yup, I’m watching what I eat”, or “no thanks, I’m watching what I eat”, and tried to change topics to something about them. Thankfully the concern has more or less stopped at 2 years out. They are all used to it now.

I have honey once in a while (mostly in desserts, and maybe in some entree or other)...but I didn’t start until after I was done with weight loss.

Forget the tortilla, look at ‘em NAILS! 😍 -
YES! That’s exactly it. (So funny I thought I was weird, nice to know I’m not the only one) The new kind is effortless AND tasteless. I find I have the new kind when I eat too much, or too fast, or if I drink too soon after eating. The painful/old kind is when I have too much sugar or dairy.

Any pics??? We LOOOVE clothes pics!

Ok, this is going to sound weird, but it is what it is: I have found that I have 2 “types” of vomiting: the regular kind, which involves heaving and seems to originate way down low in the belly. Then there is this “new” kind that developed after surgery: it feels more like “overflow”, as if its just stuff sitting near the esophagus and just slips out. Obviously the former is much more difficult and painful, but the latter is almost like burping and stuff comes out (and it feels like it originates way further up). Now, i dunno if this even makes sense to anyone else but me, but yeah, i find the “original” way of vomiting way, way, harder and energy-comsuming now (if i even can..) P.S. I was sleeved, and my vomiting ability/inability did not seem to affect my weight loss.

Oh, OG all the way. We were once in Mexico and bought 3 tacos, corn slaw and mangoes for $1 from the back of a pickup truck. Best food we had the entire vacation. (...though I do love me some bougie food too, lol) -

Dont feel like eating dinner (I made subs and fries for the fam and it does not interest me) Soooo...liquid dinner for me, I guess. Espresso martini: 141 absolutely non-nutritious calories. Disclaimer: I do not recommend nor endorse this type of “dinner” for anyone in weight loss phase. 😛 -

Shiratake noodles. Yeah, they take some getting used to. I find they are better used for noodle soups, but I will also eat them when I make regular pasta for the fam. Better than just eating the sauce by itself, lol -
