  2. Yeah if it's been sealed and stored properly it should be fine but be sure to check the smell and taste to be sure.
  3. Why not have surgery if it is going to improve your quality of life and possibly extend your life
  4. I chose bypass because it's a more final surgery It's going to dramatically reduced my diabetes Weight loss is usually better the first 12 months I only want the 1 surgery and it is the most restrictive and malabsorptive. It completely changes your metabolism and internals
  5. Sit out a few events the first year. take advantage of this new tool. Think of the future!

All you need is whey protein, don't believe the hype about all natural bla bla unless you're prepared to pay double for minimal differences My surgeon even said only people who harp on about pure isolate are gym junkies. Regular whey protein has all the amino acids and stuff that is needed to repair muscles.
  8. No set goal but surgeon would like at least 10lbs prefers 20lbs before surgery which is 3 months away. He said any weight loss shows understanding and preparation for the future

  10. Juice and dairy not a good idea lots of empty calories and sugar try something else more water will help

  13. Yes plenty of events have all convenience foods so we have to learn to prepare meals in advance

  17. It's definitely not an easy option most people go through months of tests and evaluations before even getting a surgery date!
  18. I dislike it also but to make the time fly I watch a movie or two while on the bike ?
  19. I know a few girls who had surgery at 18... They wanted a better life for themselves before they went to university
  20. My dr said 3 shakes a day is okay for preop but full Liquids so a dramatic drop in calories
  21. The preop liquids diet is to set yourself up for the first few weeks post op liquids only you'll be sipping liquids very slowly after surgery and taking each day by day
  22. This is exactly why I have invested in an exercise bike because do not want to be gorked at in the gym lol

  24. What kind of protein are ppl drinking? Whey protein or soy or pea and how many grams of protein per shake
  25. Can you tell me what you did preop exactly? Was it just shakes? How many calories per shake etc mate. I've got powder to make my own shakes!
