  4. Good evening everyone. This is my weekly check in. I've been on this weight loss journey now 16 weeks today and down 107lbs. HW 322 CW 215 GW 185-195 Feeling good still mostly on shakes everyday but starting to try little solid things here and there to work out what I can tolerate. I'm 7 weeks post op today but 16 weeks since starting my diet. Feeling positive about the future just got some loose skin mostly under my arms & armpits.. Will need to get into some kind of resistance or weights soon but here in Australia Its summer and heatwave of 100 all week ? so not in any mood to workout right now Thanks everyone again for your support MIKE.
  5. It will take getting used to never eating like you used to.... I used to scoff down like 3 fully stacked burgers with the lot In record time... The other day I tried to just eat one tiny little patty of 1-2oz size and after a few bites I was done! Sometimes it can be an issue mentally adjusting to this new way of life... But you have to remember the reason why you got this surgery and to keep focused!
  6. Be careful too much sugar or sweets can make you sick with bypass
  7. 7 weeks post surgery tomorrow... No issues at all just big pain the first few days then manageable pain the first week. Back to normal physically just learning how to adjust to chewing everything so much before swallowing...
  8. I'm just starting solid type food and after a few bites I'm done. I would not touch anything heavy like bread or rice or pasta as it can expand in your tiny pouch and be uncomfortable.
  9. Everyone knows how to not lose weight..
  10. So she's just worried about not being able to eat the crap that makes you fat.. So she doesn't understand you value your health now more than food itself.
  11. My surgeon suggested optifast but I found my own that I could tolerate. You've got to live off shakes for a while so you need to be able to enjoy them. Plus I saved money buying mine in bulk as well
  12. Be wary of additives or hidden sugars... I just buy a half decent brand from the local supermarket and add hot water and I'm good no issues at all... Been drinking coffee regularly the last couple of WEEKS!
  13. Goal weights can be vague.... My surgeon was happy for me to get to 100kg(220) I've passed that I'm 218; The dietitian says 199lbs(90kg) but bmi says 175-190; personally I'll be happy to get under 200 whether that be 185 or 195 I'm yet to decide until I get there
  14. I hate men like that....make us look bad.. Insensitive. Insecure. Sad man.
  15. Report the doctor to the medical board.. They are not meant to have bias. They take an oath and duty of care. Find a better doctor after surgery..
  16. Om nom nom nom plus sushi ?
  17. Id be looking closely at every single thing you put in your body.... Your intake would be so low this early it's almost impossible to not lose weight....?
  18. Yeah sounds like not prepared for surgery at all..
  19. How long standstill? From my experience protein is very important...
